What temperature do you set at home

I live in Florida and set the temperature at 78° during the summer.

I grew up in northern Ohio a mile from Lake Erie and I remember a teacher telling my elementary school class that the optimum temperature for a home was 68°. Air conditioning wasn’t common in homes in the 1950s so the teacher was most likely talking about the best temperature for a home in the winter.

Here in Arizona from mid-March to mid-October when the A/C is in use it is set to 77°. From mid-October to mid-March we switch over to the heater and set it to 64° so that very seldom does it comes on. (Wife is visiting friend in Colorado this week and so I bumped it up to 78°)

I grew up in northern Ohio too, ½ mile from Lake Erie. We didn't have A/C, never knew what temperature parents set .

Apartment dwellers who twist a knob and rely on an unknown gigantic source of energy to furnish their personal needs display their ignorance about pretty much of everything it takes in the real world.
