We’re talking about defining things as “disinformation”, who gets to do it, and examples of the Democrats labeling things as “disinformation” that turned out to be completely true, and they did it only for political gain and to censor things that might harm them or their cause

So, the Democrats want to limit our free speech because of they are losing the election meme wars.
This is a big red flag that they are really fascists at heart.

Using deep fakes of celebrities should be a civil matter IMHO. If a celebrity has a problem with someone using a deep fake of them to make it look like they endorsed them, let them sue.

To be fair the matter of 'deepfakes' is a legitimate concern. There is no consent from the party being faked. I see little problem with that. This nonsense about 'disinformation' is just pure censorship. It is clearly the unconstitutional.

Parody and Satire are perfectly legitimate, and deep fakes do a great job in this category. Newsom demanded this action in response to a satirical video covering the transition to Kamala, clearly marked that it was a parody and was funny as hell. Where I disagree with the deep fakes is made up material in the attempt to create a faux scandal.

This is a disgrace and a clear violation of free speech and fascist.
