In job after job that I've held, the way to secure promotion to the next level is to actually demonstrate that one can perform in the manner called for at that next level. One must demonstrate that in terms of technical skill and in terms of one's comportment. That was so in moving from staff accountant to senior accountant, and from there to senior consultant to managing consultant, and so on through the ranks of the partnership. That's the way it is among the professional ranks of any organization.

Seeking the office of President is no different. Repeatedly we see that Donald Trump, regardless of whether he may be able to read the PDBs, cut the ribbons, nominate federal appointees and other mechanical activities of the President, the man has not shown that he is of suitable character to be President. That, more than anything else, is why he does not deserve to be "promoted" to President of the United States.

It's exactly the same thing that's kept many a person from making partner, from ascending to the ranks of managing partner, from reaching the C-level and from thriving overall in whatever discipline they may have pursued. There is no reason it be any different for Trump, particularly since he's been a CEO he does know that and he knows better than to be the ill tempered, insufferably ignominious polisson he is.

Really? You typed all of this to simply say that you believe he hasn't earned it?

You're entitled to your opinion, so my question is pretty simple what has Hillary done to earn it?

Based on what I know her single significant accomplishment is she is, now this is according to Guinness World Book of Records, the biggest F'ing liar known to all political parties...

I don't know that I have a full answer to your question but I'll list a few things:

• I am certain that she has the unflappable temperament to be President.
• I am certain that she misrepresents the truth less often than does Trump.
• By her consistent performance in the debates, I can tell that she takes running for President seriously, seriously enough to have for the first debate to have actually bothered to prepare for it so she would do well during it.
• I know that Mrs. Clinton has not committed and been found guilty of any crimes whereas her GOP competitor has.
• Mrs. Clinton has not bragged about being able to unbidden sexually touch other people.
• I know that for all the recriminations that have been made about Mrs. Clinton and the Clinton Foundation, the only reason most of them can be made is because her life and actions for the past 30 years or so has been largely a matter of public record, whereas her GOP opponent has not even attempted to approach the level of disclosure that would expose his life to comparable scrutiny for for a similar period of time.
• I believe Mrs. Clinton does know the people she claims to know and I know that's not necessarily true for Trump. (As far as the Ukraine is concerned … if Putin wants to go in -- and I got to know him very well because we were both on 60 Minutes. We were stablemates, and we did very well that night.")
• I know I cannot come up with 176 reasons why Mrs. Clinton should not be President and there are at least that many reasons why Trump should not be President.
• I know Mrs. Clinton has more gravitas than to commend herself by posting a video touting the fact that 1/3rd of the total running time of a speech she delivered was taken up not by substantive policy points she made but rather....wait for it....applause. LOL.
• I know Mrs. Clinton would not claim that Putin will not invade Ukraine when at the time of the remark Putin had already done exactly that.
• I know that Mrs. Clinton has not been the beneficiary of fake Internet accounts provided for by the Kremlin.
• I know that Mrs. Clinton is not a big enough hypocrite to give someone else grief over deleted emails.
• Mrs. Clinton does not owe millions of dollars to the Bank of China, which unlike Bank of America, is a state-owned bank, and Goldman Sachs while deeming that being in debt to such organizations is somehow not different from being bought by them.
• Mrs. Clinton is not too stupid and she's not so self-absorbed that she is incapable of discerning when she's being mocked.

• Mrs Clinton has not misrepresented the nature or extent of her charitable contributions.

That said, though I'm very certain that Donald Trump is wrong person to elect President, I'm far less convinced of that regarding Mrs. Clinton. It's not 100% assured that I think Mrs. Clinton should be, but I'm 100% certain Trump should not be. So, as you can tell, if I ultimately do vote for Mrs. Clinton, she'll have earned my vote by dint of Trump's default more so than anything else.

You did it again, you really must like the Kool Aid. This is your justification to vote for Clinton over Trump, I think it's safe to say you would have chosen her no matter who the Republican's elected. What you and the establishment miss this time around is that The Donald for all his misgivings has made it to this point for one very simple reason, The Career Politician has done a terrible job and a substantial number of Americans know it.

Based on the mechanisms that control the information to the world today, she has an advantage. We can debate the semantics of why Trump should be elected over Clinton for days, but you have to know when H. Ross Perot tried this in '92 it led to her husbands presidency. This time the Anti Establishment Candidate won the party nomination and has battered her to a pulp.
