What movies can you watch over and over and over?

For me....Hobbit movies. ALL of them. I can just put one of them on and do other stuff and KNOW where they are, what they say next, etc. Over and over I can watch them all. Back to back, then start all over again.

Armaggeddon (spelling?).

Fifth Element

Godfather. All of them.

Used to watch Goodfellas and Casino all the time but not any more. Can't stand DeNiro.

Mists of Avalon

Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2

Anything by Spielberg ...

Deadpool...

Any movie with the Hulk...

Dead Poets Society and Good Morning Vietnam then again anything with Robin Williams...

I too have lost my appetite for Denero movies.
As far as ones I watch over and over again mostly war especially WWII. There are several I have recorded one of my favorites is Lawrence of Arabia.

Silent Movie - Lon Chaney The Phantom. I agree it is a movie I have and will watch over and over.. The scene with him in the sewers facing the mob is a scene that sticks in my mind.

Just finished watching MICHAEL with John Travolta.

Now I'm on Waterworld.

"North by Northwest" (1959).

The film is so crisp in appearance.

We get to see New York City before crime engulfed it.

And, of course, who can forget its naughty ending: Cary Grant and his girlfriend are seen in a passenger train compartment. Cut to a long train entering a tunnel. THE END. (How risque for those days!)

Hunt for Red October, Shawshank Redemption, Airplane, any of the Lord of the Rings, Dances With Wolves, Robin Hood w/ Erol Flynn, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Blazing Saddles, Beetlejuice, A Fish Called Wanda, Bridge Jones' Diary. There also are the BBC productions of Pride and Prejudice w/ Colin Firth as Darcy, and Lady Chatterley w/ Sean Bean as Mellors

Hunt For Red October! Forgot that one but no clue why since I just watched it again a few days ago. I think I have seen it maybe....oh....30 times?

One Ping Only, Vasili!

To re-state the obvious, I think we are referring to films that are so good that each time you re-watch it you see something "cool" that you missed on previous viewings. Hence, watching it again is edifying rather than boring.

In no particular order...
  • Groundhog Day
  • A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott
  • Shawshank Red.
  • The Sound of Music
  • Fiddler on the Roof
  • Beetelgeuse
  • Dune
  • Goodfellows
  • Godfather I and II
  • Jaws
  • G. W. Hunting.

A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott

Disagree with that one.

I prefer the 1938 version with Reginald Denny.

(and Lockhart family.)

I haven't watched movies for a long time....but my fav movies are late 1950s early 1960s French New Wave movies....

I can watch those over and over..... I love the atmosphere, the time, the black and white...the music.. the fashion and style..I just love all of it!
