Elmer has a point folks. None of us can point to a better system than the USA because there isn't one. America among all nations was the first to establish a nation based on the principle that the people would govern rather than be governed. It made us the most free, most prosperous, most strong, most forward thinking, most benevolent, and most important nation on Earth. It made us the nation where hundreds of millions if not billions of other peoples would live if they could.

Unfortunately, we now have a government who thinks it should govern rather than the people. And that, in a nutshell, is the problem.

You can project success with changes but until they are proven it is just a theory.

I would be for breaking Texas off as a seperate Republic and see how it does.

The fact that Obama and his surrogates believe that it is their destiny to govern and that the rest of us should gratefully and meekly submit to their governance is the problem. If that is not checked and stopped in its tracks it will take us apart at the seams, bit by bit, until we are just like everybody else. Which liberals seem to mostly see as a good thing.

Americans, at least those who still understand what America was intended to be, want the Federal government to secure our rights and then get the hell out of our way and allow us to govern ourselves. That, in a nutshell, is the American ideal and what sets us apart from all other places.
