Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where that homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him that $50 towards food and a new house".
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked at me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over, do the work and you can just pay him the $50?".
I said, "Welcome to the republican party".
Her parents are still not speaking to me.

But it has gotten more extreme

Used to be between the rich and poor
Now it is between the rich and the working class

Standard of living has declined
