I don’t see any proposal to eliminate a program that benefits everyone: everyone unable to work will still get food stamps and Medicaid. Some portion of people certainly take advantage of the system — I’m not denying that, and I wouldn’t claim this is a utopia.
But the fact that you dismiss my description of life here as a “utopia” says a lot about your perspective. It tells me that your experience with your experience is far from utopian.
Here’s my question: Even if some people live off the system, how is it preferable to have no system that benefits everyone? Do you generally reject access to important services simply because some might abuse them?
When viewed as a whole, the standard of living here is undeniably better.
Even more…..the left is demonizing SUCCESSFUL people while defending and making excuses for failures. Recipe for a failed nation. The left's desire to demonize the rich and paint America as a bad place full of bad people, is worse.
Do they have a choice?MAGA is all about helping the working class.
More balanced trade, less third world immigration, legal and illegal, all help the AMERICAN working class.
It is EMPLOYERS that want to outsource and to have cheap third world labor.
MAGA opposes minimum wage, unions, worker safety, healthcare, worker benefitsMAGA is all about helping the working class.
We don’t demonize themEven more…..the left is demonizing SUCCESSFUL people while defending and making excuses for failures. Recipe for a failed nation.
The left often gets carried away and tries to micromanage the economyMAGA opposes minimum wage, unions, worker safety, healthcare, worker benefits
They have sold out to the wealthy
?Status Quo Is Stagnant
That's the way to an early death, and it always has been.
What that means is that illegals will do the low-skilled jobs, and half of America will sit home on welfare. The left often gets carried away and tries to micromanage the economy
In some parts of the country such as santuary cities libs are pushing for a $30 minimum wage
While at the same time flooding the job market with illegal aliens who work under the table
Really? Seems you skirting the premise of the OP which was if income inequality was bad and for what reason. Prompting me to give my experiences in both Europe and the US. In which the US had worse results in terms of poverty, education, healthcare and life work balance.I don’t see any proposal to eliminate a program that benefits everyone: everyone unable to work will still get food stamps and Medicaid.

It will decrease access for people who shouldn’t be getting it: able-bodied adults who refuse to get even a part-time job and still expect OTHER PEOPLE to pay for their food and medical care.Really? As for what the bill does or doesn't do. Something you are referring to. This will undoubtedly decrease access to both healthcare and food stamps. We know this because the only reason Murkowsky voted for it was because they got Alaska and ONLY Alaska exempt from some of the provisions. Not only that but saying that cutting a trillion out of social programs won't decrease access is dumb. What it also does. Is letting the provisions regarding Medicate go in effect after the midterms and those taxes exemptions on tips, well they expire right after the next presidential election, unlike those provisions for the rich which will now be permanent.
So congratulations it passed. I just hope you or the people you care about won't ever have need for government assistance in paying for an already expensive and worse healthcare system then the rest of the Western world.
I never had a dime saved until I was 44. I wasted a lot of money in my youth, and lost my shirt during my marriage and divorce. Someone right out of high school could easily surpass what I've achieved. They would have a 26-year head start on me.Great. So.... everyone can do this? Nope. Impossible.
Advice that would help another financially.Depends what you mean by "good advice".
"A man has to know his limitations."Name the top fact of life you were thinking of.
The Left should tell their people to straighten up and fly right, then we wouldn't need so many taxes. We don’t demonize them
We just think they should pay higher wages and taxes
By your post and others, I must assume you are not a white male. There are many white males who are poor or not rich. Just the same as there are many minorities in that same category.Inequality is bad because inequality reduces revenues and causes debt and deficits. It can kill an economy if people don't have money to spend on gadgets. Your entire post is stupid, because 1 entrepreneur would not create a problem, but government policy that has denied wealth to certain people has created a problem. It is a problem whereby America has lost more than 51 trillion dollars since 1990 alone.
But since you're a white male, the most protected class in America, it's easy for you to try excusing inequality.
Maybe the MAGA rank and file is "about helping the working class". But if you try to shift taxes away from the working class and onto the wealthy the MAGA leaders vote "NO". If you try to pass laws providing better services or pay to the working class MAGA leaders vote "NO". If you pass laws to protect worker rights or safety MAGA leaders vote "NO". If you try to protect working class healthcare or spending for veteran healthcare MAGA leaders vote "NO".MAGA is all about helping the working class.

Oh,and how do you determine if they refuse to get a full time job and simply can't find one because they live in an area where there aren't any?It will decrease access for people who shouldn’t be getting it: able-bodied adults who refuse to get even a part-time job and still expect OTHER PEOPLE to pay for their food and medical care.
You think the big retailers are conservative?![]()
Retailers won’t swallow Trump’s ‘eat the tariffs’ demand for much longer before hiking prices
These are public companies that have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders, and if they can’t pass along costs they will begin layoffs.nypost.com
The left..... right.
