No. She has PTSD related to being raped multiple times by a friend of her family when she was 12 years old. She would like to work if it was possible. SSDI was her only income until we got married. Now I support her.

You receive Medicare automatically 2 years after awarded the disability unless you are esrd or als and then that's right away.

He will get Medicare Part A automatically and only a fool calls Social Security and tells them to take them of Part A, but I have run into a couple in the past couple years.

There is also a very large group that fall under the christain health system (not insurance). I belong to that group now.

I am not going to pay insurance companies what amounts to a new car each year to visit a doctor once a year. I am not paying for the Obamacare moochers either.

Someone with an employer provided high deductible health insurance plan with a company funded health savings account would want to postpone their part a enrollment because they could not fund the HSA and the HSA is not use it or lose it, it can be rolled over from year to year and money can be withdrawn to supplement income in retirement.

Additionally, they could not be drawing Social Security. Refusing Part A not only stops any Social Security, it requires paying back any Social Security that has been received. Pretty sure Anathema will be taking Part A, he just likes to run off at the mouth.
