So how can you attribute that to guns? Don't you remember a thing called the Ferguson Effect? That had more to do with it than the amount of guns.

The Ferguson effect is a direct result of too many guns. Too many innocent people are getting shot by police because they themselves are getting shot at a rate not seen in any other country. Due to all these shootings we have lots of unrest which is leading to more crime. The root cause goes back to guns.

So what do you want to do, disarm the cops? The Ferguson Effect is because police officers shot unarmed black men. It had nothing to do with the amount of guns we have. It has to do with the media sensationalizing these tragic events.

It has everything to do with the amount of guns we have. Our police shoot way more people than they should. They do that because they themselves are shot a lot. Neither of those things happen in countries with strong gun control.

No but harsher penalties and longer sentencing for gun related crime or if one gets caught with a firearm who is legally aboe to possess one. Making stricter gun control laws wont decrease gun violence. All it will do is prevent law abiding citizens the ability to defend themselves. Law abiding citizens follows the law, criminals don't. Criminals will know that there chances of their victim pulling out a gun to defend themselves will decrease. Stronger gun control laws wont keep guns out of the hands of criminals.

Only way to keep guns out of the hands of criminals will be to give them more severe punishment and longer prison sentences. They cant do no harm to community behind bars for years.

We're humans. If We deny ourselves the chance to problem solve this stuff, we kill our own evolutionary advantage. The vehicle thing is new and rare here. If it becomes as bad as these mass shootings, we'll problem solve. Same goes for mass shootings, by denying our ability to do anything but pray for them, you are denying the application of our biggest strength.

The 701,000 minimum wage workers and the 1.5 million workers who made less than minimum wage last year might only make up 2.7% of the US workforce and maybe considered such a low number that it makes it not a priority for national attention and/or effort but they are not the only workers who cannot afford their yearly cost of living expenses. Those 2 numbers do not include the workers who made $7.26 per hour(which is technically above the minimum wage) or more but not enough to cover there yearly cost of living. In the united states for 1 person an annual income required to cover their cost of living per year is $20,194 or more. So if you are making less than $10.18 per hour you might not be able to cover your annual cost of living.

Now if you add the workers who make $7.26-$10.17 per hour the will be a much higher number and percentage of the US workforce who can not afford their yearly annual cost of living. Everyone just looks at the number of people who make minimum wage when they should be looking at the number of people who can not afford their cost of living.

For America and for what it means to be an American and what we stand for, I strongly believe that any American working full-time in America should be paid a wage that will cover their yearly cost of living.

Minimum wage is just a pay rate to justify modern day slavery.

Forget about the Greed of CEOs and major Corporations. If it was up to them they would pay their employees next to nothing. They feel that since they are providing jobs that the people who work for them owe them something and are indebted to them.
The Companies that make Billions of dollars of profit a year act like they cant afford to give their employees, that keeps the company in business, enough to live. They want all the blacks in those projects killing themselves off, they don't pay the Gov any taxes, and they just want you defenseless because then you will be easier to control. Step One: take over the school system and dumb down the children, then run massive propaganda making kids fear guns and thinking they are bad. Exactly I don't know why people think gun laws will decrease gun violence some even think it will prevent mass shootings, which if they think that they are complete morons.
Law abiding citizens and follow the laws, criminals break the law and have no consideration of the laws.
A sign says no guns allowed!. The law abiding citizen will read that sign and no carry their "legal" gun in that area. A criminal reads the sign and pays no attention to it.
Making gun laws stricter and more difficult for law abiding and innocent citizens from purchasing and/or carrying is just preventing them to be able to protect themselves.
The criminal can get a gun much cheaper then retail price and a lot quicker than the application process and background check to legally purchase and/or carrying a firearm.
The law abiding citizen wouldn't think about obtaining a firearm from the street.
A person to be considered a criminal means they got caught. There are many criminals that haven't got caught and can legally purchase firearms.
Stricter gun laws will not decrease gun violence, it will actually increase gun violence. There will be more people unable to defend themselves against gun violence.
A criminal knows that law abiding citizens will follow the gun laws and there will be a greater chance that there victim will have a gun to defend their self. "Criminal"-"That looks like a law abiding citizen they are not allowed to carry a concealed gun in this area, and I got one."
Stricter gun laws will not take guns out of the hands of criminals on law abiding innocent victims and increase their chances of becoming a victim.
Also stricter gun laws preventing mass shootings? Not 1 of the most recent 6 mass shootings did the suspect have an adult criminal record. If someone goes to the store and attempts to purchase a firearm with the intention to commit a mass shooting gets denied by the government if they really want to do a mass shooting then they will go to the streets.

Only way to decrease gun violence would to have a total ban on guns. or the government would have to get every single gun out of America which would be impossible. or come up with simple procedures and solutions. Such as, more severe punishments for gun related crimes. and to come up with a procedure to attempt to determine if one is mentally fit to own a firearm. such as, adding a few simple questions that aren't noticeable that the reason for the question is determining mental fitness, and if the question is answered one way or another, one way will send up red flags indicating that the person may not be mentally fit to own a firearm further investigation needed. And simply don't approve their application till an investigation is conducted.
