What is the goal of capitalism?

Impressive growth rates during the first three five-year plans (1928–1940) are particularly notable given that this period is nearly congruent with the Great Depression.[17]

Who said the five-year plans had high growth rates? Walter Duranty?

As Daniel Yergin notes, the Soviet economy in its final decades was "heavily dependent on vast natural resources–oil and gas in particular"

Because, despite their awesome 5-year plans, they didn't make much and what they made sucked.
In the final decades when they adopted market reforms and followed your advice, their economy sucked and collapsed. Under Stalin, when the Soviets were UBER COMMUNISTS, they kicked ass. Class warfare is a bitch.

You deny the fact that it was the second-largest economy?

The ten largest economies by average values of GDP (nominal) by every half decade from the available data in IMF, World Bank, and United Nations lists (in USD billions):

As far as the millions killed. Class warfare is bloody, millions of communists and anti-communist scum like you died.

You deny the fact that it was the second-largest economy?

I do.

Those Russian ships won't be able to anchor at any American port for 180 days after disembarking in Cuba. Not too many companies will opt to have their ships barred from American ports to do business with Cuba.

Why would commie ships want to anchor in America?

Lots of money to be made transporting all the awesome Cuban exports to Russia.

Not too many companies will opt to have their ships barred from American ports to do business with Cuba.

Cuba is a shithole.

For brainwashed anti-communist shitheads like you, yes. Most Russians love him and so do most communists. BTW, he was pro-life/anti-abortion, believed in family values by creating the "Soviet Family" policy, which supported marriage, women raising their children, and made LGBTQA+ lunacy illegal. How many human lives have been ripped to pieces in women's wombs in the US? About 70+ million.

Most Russians love him and so do most communists.

Except for the 20 million or so he had murdered. And their loved ones.

You deny the fact that it was the second-largest economy?

I do.
All authorities disagree with you, including capitalist economists and historians. Denying that the Soviets had the second-largest economy in the world is like denying that they launched the first satellite and the first man and woman into space.

After sucking for 70 years, Reagan finally threw them on the ash heap of history.

You're just pulling that figure out of your ass. Millions of communists were killed as well. When assholes like you are murdering communists, communists have the right to defend themselves. You're the moron who denies historical facts that are well-established and documented by everyone, like the fact that the USSR had the second-largest economy in the world.

We pretend to work, they pretend to pay us.
And you believe their stats. LOL!

You suck and it's capitalism that will be collapsing soon as a result of advanced automation and artificial intelligence. Socialism is in our future, and you can't stop it.

Stalin murdered millions of commies.

Remember when the CIA thought East German incomes were higher than West German incomes?

Stalin murdered millions of commies.

Remember when the CIA thought East German incomes were higher than West German incomes?
I remember when the CIA was fabricating anti-communist propaganda:

It's not just the CIA that admits the Soviets had the second-largest economy in the world, it's practically everyone, both communist scholarship and historians and non-communist historians and economists, that recognize this. So you're in denial. What you don't have any documented evidence for is your inflated death figures for Stalin's supposed crimes. That's truly just Western Cold War propaganda, similar to what those CIA officers in the above videos did. Essentially create ugly campfire stories against communists and communism, to brainwash idiots like you.

What is the goal of capitalism?

That the strong and active prevail over the weak and lazy - and therefore can make many, many $$$

The weak and lazy are the capitalists, who live off of other people's labor. They're parasites.

No, not really, getting wealthy is about creating a customer network with a constant stream of revenue.
It is not hard work that makes people rich, but their ability to create a team that can help them create and expand such a network.

European colonialism was heavily influenced by capitalism, in its pursuit of profits and raw materials, including gold. The pursuit of profits through the sale of commodified human beings i.e. slaves, was an extremely lucrative business. You and Todd are confused and self-deluded. Many wars are fought by the US and its Western allies, for $$$$$$$$$$$. The illegal war in Iraq, all of the trillions of dollars spent chasing after goat herders in Afghanistan. It's all a racket.

The tens of billions of dollars that we've recently spent in Ukraine, filling the coffers of the military-industrial complex i.e. war profiteers, keeping that war HOT & PROFITABLE. It's all due to the private pursuit of profits (capitalism). Add the billions that we've already spent in weapons in Ukraine since 2014, to feed the war between the Kyiv government and the Russo Ukrainians of the Donbas.

When one factors in all of the lives that have been lost as a result of government policies purchased by capitalists to protect and serve their vested interests. It amounts to hundreds of millions of people.

Wrong

European colonialism operated at a loss universally. The colonies cost more to maintain than the profits they produced on the other hand the lives of indigenous peoples everywhere improved by every measurable metric

That is not a death count of capitalism fool

It is simply a death count of typicall political wars which has nothing to do with capitlalism.

Communists kill in the name of and to impose and spread communism.

Capitalists make war for the same old reason people have been waging war for centuries not to spread or impose capitalism

Your claim that it was done at the behest of capitalism to protect vested interests is strictly and exclusliby a lame extremist opinion.

My statements are openly supported by fact stated by communists.

Because of these ansolute facts which tou willfully ignore communism IS PROVEN the most bloody and murderous ideology in human history.

That is setteled fact

I know because none of those imaginary people in your mind had family members that would be alive today. Way too many people are for the Soviet Union in Russia, undermining your narrative that they were committing acts of genocide. Now if an asshole sociopath like you got thrown into the Gulag, I wouldn't miss a minute of sleep over it. Good riddance.
Abssolutrly false

There is no population number undermining itr and like I said it is established documented fact

Your denial is as weak and stupid as any nazi denying the holohcaust. You ARE THE same type of vermin as any skin head nazi

You haven't addressed my argument. You ignored it. If the Soviet Union were as bad as you and your friend Mac-7 claim, those people wouldn't be so "nostalgic" about the USSR. They would tell the interviewer " I don't even want to talk about it. We were slaves, living in horrible conditions. My life in Soviet Russia was an absolute nightmare". They didn't say that, not even close. Many of them were saying good things about their life in Soviet Russia. You and your other capitalist apologist buddy, Mac-7 are full of poo-poo.

I don't respond to you, for your sake, because I know you're braindead. I respond to you ignorant, lying sacks of guano, for the sake of others, who are genuinely interested in this topic and are seeking the truth. Not you.
That is a bald faced lie from to

I clearly addressed and corrected your failed argument with absolute fact

You do not respond ( or do and pretend not to ) because you are defeated and you know it.

A silly pop culture interview is all you have and it is absolutely meaningless.

That is what lefty&Libs, socialists, communists and the weak and lazy keep propagating - got anything new to add to this fairy tale?
I'm educating you on who it is that is a lazy bum parasite. It's you capitalists who generate your incomes upon the backs of other people's labor. You little tyrants, who like to boss people around and rely on others to feed you and pay your bills, with their work and drudgery. Democracy belongs both in politics and the workplace, the place where most hardworking Americans spend most of their waking hours. All leadership should be elected by the people/the workers, and those who work the enterprise should own and run it together.

It should through the SBA (Small Business Administration) and Department Of Labor, promote and fund the creation of worker-owned, democratically-run cooperatives. The government should favor democratically-run, worker-owned cooperatives for government contracts and subsidies, whenever available, that way when robots and artificial intelligence replace wage labor, worker-owned cooperatives will be able to collaborate with the government to produce all of the goods and services that Americans need (the transition from a for-profit system of production to a non-profit, centrally planned system of production will be simple and pain-free). The working class will own the advanced automation technology and artificial intelligence collectively and will run it together, in cooperation with the US government (DOCEP - Department Of Central Economic Planning).
