What is driving this trade war?

I just did you fucking MORON.
Your inability to understand words is baffling.

No. based on their grifting, you dumbshit.

Yes I do,and they aren't false.
Trump would be number one.

I don't care I'm not the idiot supporting their fancy cars and jets with my SS $$$.

I know that you don't care. You are just pretending to care, so that you can talk shit on people you hate.

The normal way to show, "not caring" is to not bother mentioning it.

I don't care about opera. That is why you never heard me mention it before, adn won't hear me mention it again, after this.

Plenty of shit I don't care about. You know how you can tell I don't care about it? Becuase I don't bother to mention it. I certainly don't whine like a little girl about it.

Now, I care about say, higher wages for the US working class. And those that oppose me, I will engage in discussion and argue about that policy, happily.

I won't bring up shit about them, that I don't care about, to smear them personally, INSTEAD of discussing the issue.

If Trump were interested in better deals he would not be negotiating with everyone at once. The world together is stronger than addressing them separately. The boot is on our neck right now and you dont even know it. Lots of business leaders are saying this worse than covid. The only thing that will help is Trump's inevitable fold.
When he folds he'll claim victory and the flock will rejoice. That's a given. And even if some of it goes in America's favor, the damage he has caused to our (former) economic standing in the world is long term. Not to mention the fact that the Treasury market is on the brink of collapse because of this.

One (1) person has destroyed both our global security relationships AND our international economic relationships in three fuckin' months. As bad as we thought this would be (and "we" meaning people across the political spectrum), this is simply stunning. We've told the world "we don't need you, fuck off". Now we'll see how that goes. Now we have no choice.

What is the one (1) consistent common denominator in virtually ALL of Trump's relationships? The ONE thing he will ALWAYS complain about?

It's about how he is "treated". If he feels he has not been "treated" well enough, he gets angry and acts out. This is something that is happening in his head alone. He is the one who decides on the spot if he's being "treated" well enough. If not, here we go.

So in this case, he has obviously felt for decades that he has somehow been taken advantage of by other countries. That they're getting the better of him somehow. So now he's responding in the only way he knows: He's attacking without looking at a bigger picture. He attacks, sees that the results are bad, and then changes course.

I know that Trump's fans think that they'll see a clear, tangible and material difference in their lives once Trump has exacted his revenge on all those countries. The sad thing here is, on balance, they will not. There are larger issues that influence the vector of an economy.

One ignorant buffoon with zero grasp of global macroeconomics and a willingness to insult, mock, threaten and punish the very countries he needs to pull this off.

And the power to tariff actually belongs to Congress. Not that it matters now.

Every single economist and 56% of all Americans see Trump destroying the economy but Trump, his loyalist cabinet and his cult members refuse to see the data, statistics and facts.

One would think that those that want the best for the nation and that truly want to see MAGA would do what any rational and sane person would do, which is to evaluate reality and get out of the fantasy world they live it.

Nonetheless, that is not happening. As such, this is what is likely in store for this nation:

It's one of the main results of a full commitment to a hardcore ideology. It's an echo chamber and no light gets in.

It's the big difference betwee Trump's first and second terms: He's made sure to surround himself with sycophants who don't have the balls to tell him "no".

You are ignoring everything.

Sounds like these 30,000 fictitious employees of yours would benefit by working for a more competent management team.

By the way... dude says the same thing I said last week.

“We’re really thinking about this as a bit of an endless environment in terms of direction ... and that’s in particular because we just don’t know where tariffs end up,” said Robert Haworth, senior investment strategist at U.S. Bank, in an interview with CNBC. “This is a market trying to get clarity on direction, and not getting a lot of conclusions.”

Haworth added: “If uncertainty continues for an extended period of time — meaning multiple quarters — I think that becomes more challenging for corporate earnings and decision making, and we’ve seen some of that in the earnings season so far.”

Foreign countries have been shitting on good old Uncle Sam for decades. Clinton and Obama knew it but they didn't have the balls to do anything about it. It's not a war but the left wing TDS media prefers to call it that. All Trump wants is an even playing field that isn't dictated by China. TDS left wingers would rather see America fail than Trump succeed. Such is the power of politics over common sense.

‘What do you want?’: Veteran diplomat says Trump administration 'could not explain what they wanted' to Japan during trade talks

In a stinging critique of Trump's reciprocal tariffs, former US Assistant Secretary of Defense and veteran diplomat Chas Freeman has revealed just how disorganised Washington appeared during high-stakes negotiations—especially with key allies like Japan.

According to Freeman, the Japanese delegation visiting Washington during the Trump administration was met with bewildering ambiguity. Speaking about the meeting, Freeman, during an interview on the YouTube channel, recounted: “Their experience apparently was they went to talk to the American leadership on this matter, and the American leadership said 'what are you offering?' And the Japanese said 'well, what is it that you want?' And the Americans could not explain what they wanted."

Obvious move would be to encourage pretty much if not all japanese cars sold in the us to be MADE in the us.

If they had dropped an offer like that on the table, probably would have gotten a nice reception.

Perhaps, i should offer my services if this is beyond them....

OR.. better yet… why not let customers decide where their car is made? You can already buy an American car if you want. I have a Toyota 4Runner limited I love. I don’t want an American SUV. I like mine running for 13+ years.

Because the point was to give MAGA what we wanted to avoid a trade war.

Did you forget that?

Oh, wait. No, you remembered, you just realized that I answered your point, and you didn't want to face that. So, you played dumb and ran away.

GOT IT.

So, all your complaints about HOW Trump and maga is waging this trade war, isn't really real.

You just want AMERICA TO LOSE.

How is me driving the car I want, losing? Trade is a plus game you stupid bitch. If we buy more from someone else cheaper we now have MORE money left over to do other stuff. The other stuff is what makes America great. Republicans have never been in favor of a government control economy until Trump said it was a good idea. Every economist agrees this is a disaster. The standard of living in this country is so high because we exploit the worlds resources for our own needs. Now, we are fucked.

You didnt answer. You simply said he is going to make them better. The reason you wont tell me if he intends to lower or raise tariffs from what they were before is because no matter whether they go up or down you will claim they are better. You have no idea what better is.

If Trump were interested in better deals he would not be negotiating with everyone at once. The world together is stronger than addressing them separately. The boot is on our neck right now and you dont even know it. Lots of business leaders are saying this worse than covid. The only thing that will help is Trump's inevitable fold.

Better is a net gain of tariffs on imports and a net decrease in tariffs on exports. If these do not happen, on net, then I will admit that all of this was a mistake. If they do, will you admit that you were wrong?

How is me driving the car I want, losing? ....

THE GOAL IS MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL TRADE.

"Trade" where they get the money and the jobs, and we get fucked, is us losing.

Stop playing dumb. This is a real issue. YOu want to argue in support of your policy, then do so.

Explain why it is good for AMERICA, don't play dumb and think that this is about YOUR PERSONALLY.

That was you DODGING the point.

You still don’t get that the US consumer is the golden goose. Until you realize this, you will never understand the point of what Trump is doing. There is a reason that virtually every country except China wants to negotiate with us. They MUST. China MUST as well. Our economy can weather the storm, others cannot.

You mention buying a Toyota. Do you think Toyota would have problems if they couldn’t sell cars in the US? Do you think they would sell enough cars if they raised their prices by 20% in the US? Do you think it would make more sense for them to raise them 5%, for example, and eat the extra 15% from the tariffs, leaving he US with more money in our coffers, granted in this example with the consumer paying a little more? I think it is beyond stupid to think that these companies that need us will price themselves out of our market. They won’t, because that is not how business works. There are some essentials(medicine) where this is not the case as people must buy them at virtually any price, but this is simply not the case for non-essential goods. As you and other “experts” will soon see, overall inflation will not rise significantly due to this renegotiation of the tariffs.

The stock market is a case study in pathological panic mentality. Stock go up, down, up, down. You have nothing to fear but your own fear itself.

Trump is restoring a normal healthy trade balance, and 75 countries are cooperating.

It's not Trump's fault that 5 former president idiots didn't have sense enough to know that the USA is the largest (by far) & most lucrative MARKET in the world. And that these countries (especially China) need us. We don't need them.

Trump is simply not giving them unrestricted access to our huge market, as other moron presidents did (while they restrict our exports to them).

Is intentionally crashing the stock market healthy for an economy? yes or no.

Trade balances do not have to "restored" or equal. This is a deep misunderstanding of how trade works. Trade imbalances like ours exist because we are growing faster economically and thus consuming more than smaller countries we buy from. This is normal. How on earth, would say, Vietnam ever even out the trade imbalance between our countries? Tell me.

The reason why the last five presidents never started a global trade war before is because none were the imbecile that Trump is. Why do you think he paused tariffs for 90 days, and opened up the option for "negotiations" even though his aides Lutnick and Navarro emphatically said there would be no negotiations? It's because his dumb tariffs were destabilizing our markets and we were just a mere hop and skip away from being unable to reverse course. We literally had a 2200 point crash in a span of 2 days. Something which has NEVER happened before. Even during the great recession it took a month for the Dow to reach a 1500 point drop. That's nothing to say about how he's also devaluing the dollar when countries started dumping US treasuries, something which did not happen in 2008.

CAUGHT RED HANDED, AGAIN.

Under "Topeka", the SP "hondo50" reacted first to Post in thread '2nd USMB Chess Tournament Declared', with "fake news" as can be seen in above image, then he deleted it, after exposing him again with the very post about it.

. This Hondo50 reminds me of a Wikipedian Mullah editor, also a Hitler fan, with multiple accounts to make the impression how "so many of them" say the same thing...

Note how this fake "conservative" won't criticizes radical Islam..under any of his 17 accts.
