Zone1 What Is All This "Christian Nation" Stuff?

I don't have a problem with a Xtian nation ...

SOMEONE has to pay retail!
I may have missed that part, but there is this....

In the New Testament, Galatians 3:28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus".

Uh... We don't.

It's you kids who are always howling about how this is a "christian nation".

Like the OP.
For clarity, I made no claim that this is a Christian nation......merely that it was founded as such.

There is no requirement that one be christian to be a citizen of America.....nor was there ever.

Op, some documentation to prove your contentions about Christianity and the founding fathers would nice. Short of that I don't believe you.
My response to your original post was that it made clear that education is not your strong suit.

Those of us who are ecucated, and intelligent, would look at a post, feel disagreement, and see if there i evidence of the oppositt....and post it.

An interesting conversation might ensue.

But not with your sort.....far too damaged by government schooling.

So the best you can do is "is not, is noooooooooootttttttt!!!!!"

Try to overcome your disability.....find any one of the items I posted, and disput it with links, quotes, etc.

Try.

You will be on the road to being a better person.

How about the Ten Commandments aligning with one's personal interests?

there never were 10 commandments claimed by the liar moses etched in the heavens or anywhere else, the heretic destroyed the originals before being read by anyone - those in all three desert bibles are forgeries written by the crucifiers used to persecute and victimize the innocent.

I've looked. Where is Christ mentioned in Article VII? Where is Christ mentioned anywhere in the document?
I appreciate you asking.

At the end of Article vii
"Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth...."

Did you catch it? Their work was done “in the Year of our Lord.”
The Christian world dates all of human history in terms of the birth of Christ. “B.C.” means “before Christ,” and “A.D.” is the abbreviation for the Latin words “anno Domini,” meaning “year of our Lord.”

If the Framers were interested in being pluralistic, multi-cultural, and politically correct, they would have refrained from using the B.C./A.D. designation. Or they would have used the religionless designations “C.E.,” Common Era, and “B.C.E.,” Before the Common Era (see “Common Era,” 2008). In so doing, they would have avoided offending Jews, atheists, agnostics, and humanists.

Or they could have used “A.H.” (anno hegirae—which means “in the year of the Hijrah” and refers to Muhammad’s flight from Mecca in A.D. 622), the date used by Muslims as the commencement date for the Islamic calendar. Instead, the Framers chose to utilize the dating method that indicated the worldview they shared. What’s more, their reference to “our Lord” does not refer to a generic deity, nor does it refer even to God the Father. It refers to God the Son—an explicit reference to Jesus Christ. Make no mistake: the Constitution of the United States contains an explicit reference to Jesus Christ—not Allah, Buddha, Muhammad, nor the gods of Hindus or Native Americans!

Let’s get this straight: The Declaration of Independence contains four allusions to the God of the Bible. The U.S. Constitution contains allusions to the freedom to practice the Christian religion unimpeded, the significance and priority of Sunday worship, as well as the place of Jesus Christ in history. So, according to the thinking of the ACLU and a host of liberal educators, politicians, and judges, the Constitution is—unconstitutional! Go figure.

BTW....

A newly elected or re-elected president of the United States begins his four-year term of office at noon on the twentieth day of January following the election, and, by tradition, takes the oath of office during an inauguration on that date; prior to 1937 the president's term of office began on March 4.[3] If January 20 falls on a Sunday, the president will be sworn in that day by taking the oath privately, but will then re-take the oath in a public ceremony the next day, on January 21.

In which religion is Sunday given special consideration?

Well, you'll still need to go out and thump some skulls to get everyone on board with the program. For that you'll need earthly political power.
“Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's” is a quote from the Bible that appears in Matthew 22, Mark 12, and Luke 20.

I actually know that nothing you wrote is true. It is, like all your posts, foreign propaganda designed to divide us.
We are a nation divided at the most basic level.
The workers of good, and the workers of evil.
Politics plays but a small part in this, but the Christian religion plays a huge part.

The workers of good, and the workers of evil.
Politics plays but a small part in this, but the Christian religion plays a huge part.
 • Although we live in an era in which religion is mocked and ridiculed, it was the origin of our civilization, Western Civilization, and the hallmark of the views and writings of our nation’s founders/

 • In that view, “God” represents the definition of goodness, and serves as the guidance that led to the greatness of our acculturation.

 • Although the term “God” is commonly used both in reverence and in a jeering attempt, the epicenter of evil, the personification as per “the Devil” in hardly ever allowed….and never by those most closely aligned with that ‘entity.’

 • In Christian belief, the "devil," also known as Satan, is primarily portrayed as an entity whose aim is to oppose God, tempt humans into sin, and ultimately undermine their faith by promoting evil and deception, essentially trying to take the place of God in people's hearts and lives by leading them away from righteousness. Google

But if we were to remove both the terms “God” and “Devil,” where do we find the terms that we would identify as belonging to one category or the other?

Is one closer to either term than the other???

You betcha'!!!!!!

It was FDR and the Democrat Party that embraced Bolshevism, and saddled America with the cultural Marxism that is represented in post #2.

Leftism is atheism.
FDR was not the first Democrat to reject Jesus Christ but he sure was the worst of them. Notice the Democrats on this forum will say this is not true. It is to be expected as it is in their upbringings.

Embraced Bolshevism, idolized Stalin.....I'm not sure aabout rejectiong Christ outright.

In the OP I asked this question: "Now, why isn't this taught in history in government school?"

The answer would touch on the basic problems in our nation today.
My school days for this topic were so long ago I don't recall teachers bringing it up. Even at church I never heard this talked about. It is smart of you to bring it up now.
