Indeed. After the Los Angeles riots there was an outcry because businessman were afraid to build in the black community. Magic Johnson opened a chain of theaters and bought a large mall, remodeled it and eventually a couple of major grocery chains caved and made a commitment to build that brought others and now large areas of the black community have been transformed. It takes courage, something Republicans have to be forced into.
