I blame Bush for the auto bailout, since he authorized it before leaving office. Obama merely implemented the bailout to save the Union pension funds. I was all for them filing bankruptcy.
Do you recognize any of these names of Airlines that have gone bankrupt? Most of them merged or continued operating under the bankruptcy law.
In the last 5 years, 17 U.S. airlines have gone bankrupt.

There's some things that Obama has done and NOT done that I do NOT agree with, and if we had a third party alternative who stood fast to the progressive campaign promises more, I'd vote for them. But to claim that Obama has done NOTHING of worth is hardly accurate or honest. Take note:

That little ***** got millions of perfectly good and affordable used cars off the road - and guess what?? the demand for "affordable" used autos has skyrocketed. Some people cant even afford a car these days when before they could have...
Again another one of his tyrannical failures.
Obama didn't kill anyone, and as a matter of fact it took that little shit several days to authorize the mission.

When Tea Party members call for reducing the number of departments of government from 15 to the original 4, I would say that would severely weaken the power of the federal government. IMHO, most Americans say they would like to see a smaller more efficient government, but they want keep Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, assistance for the poor, environmental protection, veteranÂ’s benefits, and a strong military. That does not leave a lot of room for cutting the size of government. Any politician who promises major cuts in government will hit a stone if elected because although the people like the idea of small government, they are not about to give what they see as the benefits of big government, particular as it effects them.
Actually, I think most Americans do want to turn the clock back, not to 1776 but to the 1990Â’s before Bush, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the 2008 recession.

Thats the whole point..... The the federal government is supposed to play a SMALL role in our lives - instead they act as if they're the ultimate authority and the states are beneath them....
Needed social programs are one thing, however the government spends 10x more than they should after those needed social programs.
Furthermore those social programs should be individualized... It shouldn't all be thrown in a big "pot" and paid out - thats just irresponsible, not to mention it creates an environment inviting fraud.

The cost of individualizing social programs could be huge. It would require investigation into each case to determine need, the amount and type of support required. If the person didn't agree with the finding, there would have to be an appeal process. As conditions changed, cases would have to be re-evaluated. Since benefits would vary depending on the case, discrimination law suits would follow. Keep in mind that many programs such as Medicaid are shared cost programs between state and federal. The programs are subject to both state and federal laws and regulations.

Yeah, I didn't think an answer would be forthcoming.
The mechanics, sales people, porters, customer service reps etc...at the dealership have never been in a union hall in their lives and have no intent to go there. The diner next door where they eat egg salad sandwiches for lunch and scrambled eggs for breakfast is also a small business. Lets say the 20-30 people at the dealership visit Jane's Diner 30 times a month--someone from the dealership eats there every day in other words. Well, the bailout kept the dealership afloat--oreo agrees--and thereby keeps Jane getting those 30 orders. The waitress at Janes who couldn't find the union hall in Flagstaff with a map and a flashlight, supplements her income with tips from the GM dealership employees.
The radio stations where the GM dealership advertises didn't have to replace their sales revenue with another comapny's.
The local business that washes their uniforms didn't lose their contract with the dealership.
The sales taxes on the cars go toward funding the local libraries, hospitals, schools, and that monstrosity of a government as well.
Its not a far-fetched scenario people. This is eco-*******-nomics 101.
I don't care if you agree with me or not on that; just be honest and admit the auto bailout worked in a great many cases just like the one above.
At least try to be honest...is it that hard?
