I remember a cartoon going around the RWNM when Obama got nominated. It was a big Buick of some sort up on blocks beside a water melon patch in the back yard of the white house. I don't remember what it said but it was amazingly racist even for back then. The RWers defended if vehemently. That was about the time the Tea Party quit even thinly veiling the racism. Then came the grand puhbah or what ever wizard thing the klan calls the leader. Donald Trump became the justification to react to the victim hood of the RWers in a racist manner.
