I always wore jeans and a polo shirt. I wear cologne on dates. I don't normally wear cologne. My wife always buys me the stuff but it is either too sweet smelling, like a girl, or it is too 'musky' and reminds me of an old boss who would bathe in it.

CIA. That's James Bond stuff. There's a certain scent which is memorable in a certain situation, but then you shower up, change your clothes, hairstyle, general appearance etc. and go without it.
