From a MONEY perspective, the value of weakening russia for hte cost to us, is a legit cost beneft ratio.


IMO, it is the HUMAN cost, especially with the long time frame and the lack of a guarantee of success, that makes me really support PEACE.

As I think we all know, all of them have a deep and personal understanding of European history, aggressive dictators and WAR. All of them have made their positions on Putin abundantly clear: Putin is the aggressor and must be stopped and forced to pay a price for his war.

And yet, many in America are certain that they understand the Russia/Ukraine situation and history better than these people. So if you don't think this is our problem, I'm not sure why Trump should be involved in any way.

How have those of you who oppose these efforts become more informed than these people, exactly? Your sources must be incredible and immaculate. So please provide some informed clarification on this terribly difficult situation.

Who are the European leaders meeting with Trump and Zelenskyy?

One does not have to be an expert on European History to know that the U.S. helping Ukraine to prolong its losing war against Russia, while not giving them quite enough help to stop the Russian aggression does not benefit the U.S. such that the cost to ourselves is worth it.

Even those European leaders don't need particular expertise to realize that it is in their best interests for the U.S. to keep Russia from a final victory, so long as they (the Europeans) are not expected to contribute very much.

They are not in "full support" of Ukraine's efforts or they would be spending more and sending troops. They are in partial, as-much-as-we-need-to, support, if that.

As to why Trump (the U.S.) has any say in European matters, I refer you to the old saying about paying the piper and calling the tune.

What is the difference between Progressives being antiwar in the middle east and pro war in eastern Europe? You change your views when the other side who you skewer, agrees with you to keep the grinding of aggravation going. When the time comes, a culling of people will occur again, to give us a couple of decades of relative peace and comfort before the anxieties build up and repeat the process. And the window of humanity surviving decreases as weapons of all kind's advances.
