What are some of your favorite songs by Pink Floyd?

Oh man..so many! I'm more of a Gilmor fan than a Water's guy...So I was in love with A Momentary Lapse of Reason..I also like The Division Bell

But I like it all..from Animals to the Endless River

Just about any on their Meddle album ... I though Dark Side and Wish You were Here started down the commercialism route ... The Wall was complete trash ... the band gave up their identity and just focused on money ...

Dogs ...

I end to agree with you..money changes everything...but after Roger left the band..I think they found their way out of the wilderness and have put out some damn good music..if not all that commercial.

My favorites are - 1) Money 2) Comfortably Numb 3) Wish You Were Here 4) Welcome to the Machine, and 5) Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2

Floyd was a true supergroup who, like most of them, suffered from success. To the true Floyd fan, all their best stuff was before they "hit it big," with their best work when Syd Barrett was still running things, and pretty much whatever came before Dark Side of The Moon, though I'm sure Dark Side has as lot of redeeming qualities if I hadn't already heard it played 10,000 times on the radio.

Pretty much everything before that was great, with the exception of Atom Heart Mother which I've always had trouble liking. Of course, later stuff has its good side as well, Animals, Wall, etc., except, they weren't the same group then, the sound was different, more mainstream, and the albums were more "themes" due to the struggles between Waters and Gilmour.

I actually have mint condition first pressings of their best albums like Piper At the Gates of Dawn, Saucer Full of Secrets, and the rare Zabriske Point.

Too many to list them all. Hey you and comfortable numb were up there with stairway to heaven...but you really wouldn't compare Pink Floyd with any other rock group.

I would compare them with Beethoven or Mozart.

Even the newer stuff (without waters) is stunning kinda great! Especially the live music!

My all time favorite is Wish You Were Here. I can't think of any Floyd song I don't like.

Laser Floyd was a standard here in the 70s and 80s. Smoke some pot, go lay on the floor in the Science Center and enjoy Laser Floyd. Good times.

I've had the honor of working with Roger Waters many times. The first being in 2000.

He performed that song. He had smoke all around on the floor of the stage during that song. That song has serious personal meaning to me, I was crying when I took the shots.

Funny thing, those shots I took when I was crying are the ones that sell most from that job.

The last time I worked with Mr. Waters was the second time he performed The Wall here.

We started an interesting working relationship that first show in 2000.

He's a pure joy and honor to work with.

Nice post, thanks, Dana.

None. I dont like them.

Seriously here, how can anyone not like Pink Floyd?

How do you feel about The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton?
It might be my age. Floyd were a bunch of public school educated hippies. I could not relate to anything they were saying. Punk swept them all into the bin and that music registered with me , with my everyday life and my beliefs.

I like the Beatles, Kinks, Stones, Small Faces, dont mind Clapton but you can keep Led Zepp and all those overblown stadium groups.

My favourite group ever is The Beat and then The Jam. I like The Smiths, REM, Neil Young. I like loads of stuff but If you cant dance or cry to it then it has no point.

Floyd is that. Pointless.

I'm now 60 years old. I'm a baby boomer. I grew up with rock and roll. It is my favorite music.

I saw the Ramones and the Lewd at the Paramount when I was a senior in high school. That was an interesting show.

I worked with REM once. I love their music. I've worked with Neil Young countless times. I love his music too.

I love all kinds of music but rock and roll is my favorite.

When Pink Floyd came out they were first classified as "alternative rock."

I can dance to Pink Floyd. I can dance to just about any music.

I can't disagree with you more on Zeppelin. They are one of the two greatest rock and roll bands ever to exist. Jimmy Page changed the way a guitar was played. Which wasn't easy to do after Jimi Hendrix.
