Welp Oregon is getting DESTROYED by INDIANA. 28-7 and Moore just fumbled again! And it's the second quarter.

Yes, it is great to see that it isn't just about rich donors and big name schools sucking up all the 5 star recruits out of high school.
I think it was more about money and the transfer portsl then we know

I will be interested to hear how the roster was assembled

I know Mark Cuban has pumped a lot of money into the program. And John Mellencamp apparently helped update the training facilities.

Like any major state university Indiana is awash with money

But until two years ago it was strictly a basketball school

I haven't heard that, but it is certainly possible. However it wasn't like Cignetti was Nick Saben with a big time championship pedigree either.

What Cignetti has done in two short years is simply unprecedented. It's the most amazing job I've ever seen, albeit helped immensely by the current NIL/transfer portal rules. It's simply incredible.
I'm pulling for them to smoke Miami in the championship game. They beat my Buckeyes so I'm pulling for them now in Ohio State's absence.
Exactly what I would do if it was Ohio State, got to cheer on the original Big 10 teams.

IU as an entity is far and away from what they use to be.
An exceedingly wealthy university today. Many don't know it, but IU School of Medicine is the largest medical school in the world. And absolutely, UNFORTUNETLY, completely dominates the heath industry in Indiana. It is a monopoly and it should not be allowed. There have been successful anti-trust lawsuits, but it is way-way-way past time the state needs to step in and force the sale of hospitals they should have never been allowed to acquire. They have acquired hospitals, and then drove out competing hospitals that has now created "healthcare deserts" throughout Indiana.
I use to be proud of IU as a school, not anymore.
And BTW - they are a notoriously bad employer as well - now.

Moore looked like a deer caught in Indiana's headlights.

He is known to be vulnerable to pressure.
I would imagine it did not escape him that NFL recruiters were not blind to how completely he feel apart to Indiana's defensive pressure.
Cig talked about this, and used it.
