Italy does not want a new EU because they are to dependent on the old EU to support their welfare programs. Italy's fiscal shape is not much better than that of Greece. In a new EU they would be second class.

The only other scenario for NI would be to rejoin the Republic of Ireland, and that's not about to happen either, the Catholic areas voted to remain in the EU and the Protestant areas voted to leave the EU, any situation where the Catholic areas attempted to split would probably cause the whole ugly Sectarian violence to threaten to rear it's head again.

Yeah, I agree that NI will remain part of the UK in the foreseeable future. But I am not so sure about Scotland. Unless I am mistaken, the issue of EU membership was one of the most important in the Scottish independence referendum, and fears of lengthy and possible fruitless negotiations about EU membership, with the UK being part of the EU, swayed many Scots to vote in favor of being part of the UK. Now things have dramatically changed.

Yes, Herr Schickelgrueber was born in Austria. He served in WWII and saw how the alliance was raped by the winners. He tried living as an artist in his hometown and it didn't work. His neighbors did not like his radicalism and he ended up going to Germany.

Austrians, in general, wanted nothing to do with German National Socialism and it was only through a very few in positions of authority who forced the Anschluss. I know better than to expect you to actually RESEARCH that period of Austrian history.
