We should be, and are, ashamed of our president

I'm thinking 50% is a pretty even split, even in a liberal world. So at least 1/2 of Americans polled probably think he's an embarrassment.

Oh, and just because you "like" somebody doesn't mean they can't embarrass themselves.

I'm interested to see how the polling goes next week, after the attacks this week.

no ... 50% doesn't mean anyone's "ashamed" of him... that is the purview of the bottom feeders... the 28% who were still a-ok with bush at the end of his two failed terms.

Alrighty then. If I were in his position, I'd be pretty embarrassed. But again, some people have no conscience. ~~shrug~~

Tell me again who killed Bin Laden??

the people who have escorted and allowed this hatred of Muslims in this world are the only guilty party here.

you mother fvckers keep stoking this anti-Muslim hate and fear machine and look what happens, a lot of really stupid violence.

Violence perpetrated by a lot of really stupid Muslims.

The far right is only about half of those who supported Bush at the end.

The far right and libertarians do not represent the USA, and, yes, they are the bottom feeders.

I'm not ashamed of Bush, and I'm not ashamed of Obama. Both were choosen by the American people.

I'm kinda with you on this....

....but I am astounded and ashamed that there are still folks supporting this inept, incompetent failure of a President.

Time for some apologies.

I take it you our not one the the 54% that approve of Obama and do not see him as a failure but so successful the he has earned another term? I would like to apologize to the world for Bush's foreign and domestic policies and for invading Iraq and Afghanistan and causing the death of innocent Muslims and putting this country into a depression. I apologize.

What is really stupid is that the U.S. Constitution protect racism and begotry. I think I would be right to call the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan "stupid violence."

How did the dates get changed in this 2004 thread?

I think it happened when the left realized that Obama was complicit in doing nothing and they had to some how, some way, blame Bush. Pretty ridiculous but that is apparently what they are doing. Not sure why they think saying Obama is as bad as Bush is some kind of defence for Obama but then again knowing the liberal mindset is pretty damn impossible.

Protection for American citizens.

And this is why MR is now losing, because mindless drivel from the far right is eroding the GOP base.

Why Mr. Starkey wasn't it you just yesterday that called Muslims mad dogs? Why yes it was, do you think that is proper for a good open minded liberal like yourself?

Why is the liberal left bring up Bush who has been out of office for 3 1/2 years? 3 1/2 years where Obama has done everything he wanted, except maybe the complete destruction of America? What I said was absolute fact what you said is what you do insult people, but I'd be much more careful if I were you, I doubt Muslims like being called mad dogs, no on would but some of them have a tendency to overreact.

Except he wasn't "complicit" in doing "nothing". Libya is rid of a terrorist. Egypt is clawing it's way to a Democratic state and many of the countries in the middle east are seeing they don't have to put up with dictators. It's only "magical thinking" conservatives that think this wasn't going to happen without a hitch. But funny enough they overlooked the hundreds of thousands killed in Iraq over a lie.

Funny that..indeed.

We should be, and are, ashamed of our president

The American Taliban lunatics should be ashamed. Sane people are proud that we have a great president who is keeping America safe. Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you, Secretary Clinton.

Officier Brian Terry

Those at the embassy.

Those people may disagree about keeping us safe.

Besides I thought the liberal story line was that the terrorist threat was a boogy man.

“I thought that thing last night with the president saying he had ‘a tough day’ and comparing the dead Americans in Libya to campaign supporters, which he did — I thought was one of the most disgraceful, inept and embarrassing performances by a head of state or government that I have ever seen,” Steyn said. “Every American should be ashamed of their president.”
...
"regardless if you’re Democrat or Republican, if you’re not embarrassed by the buffoon who’s serving as President of the United States after that performance last night, there’s something wrong with you.”

I am not ashamed of our President. Thus far, he has been a good President.

However, the 'Conservative' movement in this nation has brought shame to our nation for it's determinedly willfull ignorance. And continuous lies on every subject they address.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, when it is brought up that a tyrant and his sons was removed from Iraq you folks don't seem to care. Matter of fact you condemned "nation building." You folks are nothing but BS wrapped in lies. If the middle east is changing towards democracy then thank GWB because that is what he said would happen. Now it is and you are going to give credit to Obama, WTF did he do other then send in predator missiles? BUSH at least took action and actually did end two despotic regimes and plant the seed of democracy in the ME. Just as he said he would.

Casualties are expected in war, but the needless death of civilians? No.

What about Officer Brian Terry?

What about Christoper Stevens?

What about Sean Smith?

What about Glen Doherty?

What about about Tyrone Woods?

It's funny you guys attribute these unfortunate deaths directly to President Obama and yet do not hold President Bush responsible in the slightest for the deaths of several thousand troops in Iraq.

Were those troops less American?
