We Seem to Have a Huge Case of Right Wing Amnesia here at USMB

Almost a year?

That's nothing
You're correct: he's been in there for 30 years. Still...nothing...and now he wants to make up for the failures of his socialist agendas with another one called "Build back better" "'cause I fucked it up so bad the last 30 years...I promise, ✌, just one more tax and we can solve this whole dilemma". Yeah, buddy, sign me up 🙄 🤔

Trump left behind a sanctions minefield for Biden

If Biden didn't think he could handle the job, then he probably shouldn't have had all those fake ballots printed up.

How about they pay the same % that most must pay?
They do, on regular income. The trick is that the bulk of their actual income is not reported as regular income. That's why rich liberals who whine that their tax rate is too low are lying to you. They know if you jacked the income tax rate to 90% it wouldn't have much impact on them at all. They're taking advantage of things like capital gains. We treat capital gains special because we want to encourage investment in business, which in turn generates more and higher paying jobs. It's just like how we used to be able to deduct charitable giving and mortgage interest.

Biden's had almost a year and only proven how much he sucks. Crying and whining about Trump won't fix that. Keep crying.
Biden is actually doing quite well. We are better off now than we were with trump.

1) Fuck the Good Book.
2) Paying taxes isn't a punishment. It is the cost of civilization. If the rich are getting more out of our civilization, they should pay more to maintain it.
The good book doesn't say that. Beautress wants it to say that.

Since the 💰 wealthiest 10% are all government employees, we should definitely enact an extra surcharge tax on anyone that works for local, state or federal government. After all, they *are* privileged to have such high levels of 'education' and also are able to give themselves raises almost every year. This will definitely happen 🙄
Actually government workers get paid less for their skills than if they performed those skills in the private sector.

Joe, that's the most shameful post you've ever written. You just severed the First Amendment protection for believers in God's word.
You might want to read Gods words.

I see that you're into desiring to control the poor with charity they are too proud to even want.
Today when I drove to the small church I attend, I noticed how beautiful the new sparkles were on several roads I traversed through some of the most beautiful country on earth deep in the heart of Texas.
I'm sorry you live somewhere politicians aren't taking care of the highways and byways of your life. Schools will someday be closed down over differences in mores of Neandertal atheists vs. disciplined persons of faith and love for God who we believe is the author and giver of life according to the apostles' Creed.
You're aware that since Jim Jordan, an interested Republican who was nominated to help the House Committee was blocked from even being on the committee so Nancy Pelosi could escape more lies she'd have to tell by being questioned for her egregious crimes against the American people's President, Donald Trump. She isn't going to get away with this little ploy, and other criminal crap she's pulled will be her disgrace, because there is nothing gracious left in that horrid dowager.
Jim Jordan is the liar and you really need to re read the bible pertaining to treatment of the poor.

You do know that studies reveal that if ALL the money hidden away was taxed it would bring 200 billion into the Fed?

False statement. Only the government reports might agree with you, however none of the government reports I've reviewed provide the sources for their conclusions, and all of them only consider base pay: they do not consider fringe benefits like retirement contributions nor health care coverage (or things like paid maternity leave or time off in general).

Almost all independent analysis I've reviewed show that, including all the benefits, government employees make more.

Government Workers Average More

As of May 2012, the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that on average, workers employed by federal, state and local governments made more than those employed by the private sector. Private sector employees in all industries reported an average salary of $44,600 per year. During the same period, government workers reported an average annual salary of $51,840 -- $7,240 per year more than private-sector employees.

Not really.

Consider the pay of the presodent. Private CEO's with far less responsibility make way more money. There are no government employees earning million dollar annual salaries. Furthermore if entry pay is higher, its probably due to the fact that you need qualifications for most government jobs. I can start a private company with no degree or experience.
