It is common to read articles stating that Sweden has one of the world's worst death rates for COVID-19.
This, however, remains a matter of perspective.
There's no jihad. Just caution that their approach would probably not have any success here. For a number of reasons. First and foremost, people in this country can't be counted on to do the right thing like social distance, wear masks voluntarily, and maintain hygiene. So that makes
US the ******* idiots. It's a different mindset in Sweden where they've had the personal responsibility for the collective good drilled into them for decades. But their approach's results are still up in the air. Second, you're talking about a nation with 10.2 million people in a largely sparsely populated country as opposed to a country of 330 million people, a lot of whom live in cities in close proximity to one another.
The Swedish approach is rooted in a history of collective action, in which everyone has a role to play in keeping the country safe.
