Oh goody, look what I found. Not only non citizens not vote for a federal election but I even found a section that states that ANYONE convicted in the Jan6 lost their voting rights forever. And I found why tRump may be disqualified to serve as President. It's in the 14th Ammendment. Also, if a State decides to allow non citizens to vote in their local election, it's the State's Right. But the State cannot allow no citizens to vote for any Federal Office. Why would we need another law when it's hard coded in the US Constitution already?I don't even understand how anyone regardless of political affiliation would be against requiring an ID to insure that each American is voting in American elections and not non American citizens.
If voting is supposed to be our holiest of American institutions then why don't they want to preserve and protect a sacred right bestowed on all Americans?

Most new registration are probably at Drivers liscense and that gets you the "Real ID" I use for for getting on airplanes, as it does not seem appropriate to pull out my Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, though, that is what I use consistently for ID when I vote. I have a voter ID card, but it is useless, as it does not have a government picture, basically it shows where I vote, along with address and that I am an Independent. Independent does not matter here, either. I choose which primary (Rep or Dem) I vote in, based on either who it is important for me to vote for in the primary or who I want to vote against.To vote or to register to vote?

But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.
