We face a harsh new reality.

She died because she was summarily executed for trespass without even a hint of that due process that you demand for illegal immigrant trespassers and terrorist drug runners, Stain. Run along troll.

Things can happen

LMAO, sure, that's why the only fatality that day was the result of a summary execution of an unarmed trespasser by a democrat controlled capitol cop. Try again, junior. I know its asking a lot from you, but Please grow up before your next post.
You're a liar. There was no "summary execution" despite your bullshit. And no investigation into what happened has come to a conclusion that there was.

Now you take your MAGA loving lying ass & run along yourself.

Wrong again junior and you still haven't learned to express yourself civilly. Ashlii Babbitt might have been found guilty of trespass if she had gotten due process, but we'll never know, because you and your fascist ilk denied her when you summarily EXECUTED her. She was unarmed and no threat to the cowardly democrat shill that shot her from across the room. Now run along, your nanny is calling.

Again. You're a liar. She invaded & marauded thru the capital along with the rest of Trump's goon squad. She attempted to enter the hallway to search for members of the HOR despite being ordered by that officer to get back, to stand down etc. She refused a lawful order from that officer & she paid the price.

Wanna blame somebody, you moron? Look at Trump who called his animals to The Capital to disrupt the certification in an election that he had his ass beat in. If Babbit had stayed home instead of listening to that traitor ****, she'd be alive today.

You're a full blown MAGA idiot & a rotten human being for defending your boy. What happened is on HIM.

Get your story straight. In your first sentence you falsely claim she invaded. Then in the very next sentence you claim she attempted to enter. Which is it? Did she invade or did she just attempt? Next, are you a mind reader? How do you know what she was attempting to enter for? She never entered the room that the shot was fired from. She was unarmed and as far as the reason for entering, numerous people were filmed walking the halls and NO ONE ever entered a chamber where representatives were. The worst charge that can be leveled is TRESPASS and that is not a capital crime. Take you fascist arguments down the road.
Look at Trump who called his animals to The Capital to disrupt the certification in an election that he had his ass beat in.
Another leftist lie. What part of "walk peacefully and patriotically and make your voice heard" suggests what you are falsely claiming. Now run along, your knowledge of law and the events of that day are WRONG. Educate yourself.

She was inside the capital building where she didn't belong & wasen't allowed along with Trump's criminal goon squad. She attempted to enter that hallway thru a locked door whjch was being protected by that officer who ordered her & the others to back off. She disobeyed a LAWFUL order from that P.O. & she paid the price. Was he supposed to give her & the others the benefit of the doubt considering the violence occuring which he was well aware of?

Trump gave his speech when he finally realized that his coup attempt had failed thanks to law enforcement who risked their lives doing their jobs despite impossible odds.

Take your bullshit, your lies & excuses to defend your Dear Leader & you know where you can put them. He is the one responsible for the violence that day which she decided to partake in. He's the one who called his buddies to the capital that day & he's the one who riled them up with his craven lies in that speech Too bad the s.o.b. got away with it.

Watch the video, junior. You're too ignorant of the event to continue. Educate yourself.
I have watched the video as did the investigators who came to the conclusion that the shooting was justified, moron. You're pissed off because one of your own was taken out in a justified shooting by that officer during Trump's coup attempt & you're pissed off that the ******* plot FAILED.

Tough shit. It's people like you who will cause something like J6 to happen again. Get lost, MAGA bedwetter.

As recently as a decade ago, it would not have been hard to unite a broad majority of Republicans and Democrats around a shared idea of what America's military power should be for.

Defense of the homeland. Deterrence of would-be aggressors. Cooperation with treaty allies and protection of kindred democracies confronting common foes. Humanitarian aid and relief. The security of the global commons: sea lanes, air corridors, undersea cables, digital networks. Upholding the laws of war.

In sum, the ability to prevent war wherever possible and win it whenever necessary — all for the sake of a safer, more open, rules-based world.

The Trump administration brings a starkly different mind-set to the issue. Out with the Department of Defense; back to the Department of War. Well-established rules of engagement have yielded to blowing up small boats on the high seas. In place of standing with Ukraine’s embattled democracy against Russia’s invasion, the administration has adopted a course of moral equivalence between the two sides while seeking profits from the war through arms sales and mineral deals.

Before launching in to the usual personal attacks, dismissive deflections, whataboutisms, and disparagements of the source, I ask a question of those who disagree with the content of the editorial. What, IYO, did the authors get wrong?

I don't want to limit the scope of the discussion to the regime's activities in the Caribbean, but is this not true?

Well-established rules of engagement have yielded to blowing up small boats on the high seas.

How dare Trump make Ukraine pay for the arms we are sending with cash and mineral rights.

Why are we spending anything on it?

The differences between the Trump policies and those of the failed Biden and Obama administrations are very significant but quite limited. Whereas the failed Democratic administrations bemoaned the effects of the drug cartels of Americans and bemoaned the effect of our porous southern border, President Trump is taking effective action to control our borders and to end drug smuggling from South America to the streets of our cities. New missions sometimes require new tactics and new rules of engagement. Otherwise,

"Defense of the homeland. Deterrence of would-be aggressors. Cooperation with treaty allies and protection of kindred democracies confronting common foes. Humanitarian aid and relief. The security of the global commons: sea lanes, air corridors, undersea cables, digital networks. Upholding the laws of war."

These values are still in place.
