In the case of defense we probably dont spend enough
We spend more than the next 10 countries combined, and 8 of those are allies.

That's when unions employed people who wanted to work compared to the grift focus of today's unions.Funny how we were at the top of our game when the workforce was 33% unionized, but today we are just managing the decline.

Its a dangerous world out thereWTF? Are you kidding me?
We have too many bases home and abroad. The foreign bases are a combination of tripwires and CIA operations hubs
We fund a secret space program that certainly has technologies that could drop energy costs to near zero, but they’re kept secret.
Its a dangerous world out there
Better to spend too much for defense than not enough
When it comes to weapons for our military I dont want parity with the enemyWe spend more than the next 10 countries combined, and 8 of those are allies.
Your example of aircraft carries is timelySho'nuff.
We built a new aircraft carrier every month during WWII and today it takes roughly 35 years plus or minus to build one and 50 years to repair one. But spending more money will fix that
Your example of aircraft carries is timely
We may not want to build any more in the future
Okay, tough guy, if you say so.
...
Then you should back restoring a draft. When it comes to weapons for our military I dont want parity with the enemy
Because that costs American lives
Instead I want overwhelming superiority
You sure seem defensive...of the wrong country.
Thanks, most are not looking for actual on the ground facts. Propaganda rules.Yeah, here's the thing. I would bet on a bunch of motivated Chinese over a bunch of Bubba Rednecks from Jesusland any day of the week.
Now, with all that said, there are less manufacturing jobs everywhere. Most manufacturing jobs weren't outsourced, they were replaced by Automation and Process Improvement.
I worked for a company that eventually sent all the MFG jobs to Malaysia. Long before that happened, though, they perfected how to do the process with as few people as possible.
Oh, most of the people we had on the MFG floor? Mostly women from India and Mexico. A few Poles.
Now, the scary thing for white folks who never wanted to work on that factory floor is that AI is coming for their office jobs.
Bullshit, maybe stop requiring engineering students to waste time taking classes like English literature or underwater basket waving to become an engineer in ******* first place and people will want to invest a shorter volume of time to switch careers. They don’t show up.
Never misses a chance to insult Whites, does he.Yeah, here's the thing. I would bet on a bunch of motivated Chinese over a bunch of Bubba Rednecks from Jesusland any day of the week.

I never knew engineering colleges to require much in the way of humanities.Bullshit, maybe stop requiring engineering students to waste time taking classes like English literature or underwater basket waving to become an engineer in ******* first place and people will want to invest a shorter volume of time to switch careers.
No, it doesn’t. It wastes times, further drives the debt cycle for students, and makes college needlessly more expensive.I never knew engineering colleges to require much in the way of humanities.
But if they did, it would only make them better.
I don’t know why you guys hate reading so much.
I just like literate people, that’s all.No, it doesn’t. It wastes times, further drives the debt cycle for students, and makes college needlessly more expensive.
If those classes really have value(they don’t) they would not need to be mandatory in order to get a degree that has **** all to do with it.
“Muh hate reading “ get the ******* **** out of here, it’s others life, time, money (or the government money in the form of a loan) how dare you make life needlessly more time consuming, expensive, difficult, for other people because you feel it should be, who the **** are you to gate keep the road to a good paying career? You a boomer?!
Ok, they are in college, they are literate, why make they waste time and money taking classes because of your idiotic opinion?I just like literate people, that’s all.
It’s better to have more general intelligence and well rounded education.
But it’s so HARD!
It has declined because the US economy has transformed from a manufacturing base to a service base. It will decline further if we continue to be burger flippers for burger flippers. The value of the dollar has not declined 98% since 1913 because of American workers.
It has declined because of the American government and the Fed.
