Donald Trump's transition team has approached leading House Republicans to let them know the president-elect prefers to have Congress pay for the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, House GOP officials told CNN Thursday.

Throughout his campaign, Trump emphatically promised that he would force Mexico to pay for the border wall.

Let's start with this. Trump will not be building a wall. Only Congress can provide the funding to build things in this country.

I don't think that we'll be building a physical wall, and at best, we will get a sporadic wall made of uncertain technology, unwilling enforcers, and unpatriotic regional party members (Democrats, they are, after all, only a regional party now) pushing back and screaming racist at every opportunity.
