It could only happen in a republican administration. Political history indicates that so-called "black bag" operations were common in every administration. It's alleged that LBJ bugged Goldwater's plane. A 3rd rate burglary doesn't even register on the political scale when you think of Clinton's crude sexual encounters and a freaking air strike on Yugoslavia while 9-11 terrorists were in flight school in Florida. Barry Hussein's Operation Fast/Furious sent over 3,000 illegal weapons to Mexico and one of them surfaced in the murder of a Border Patrol Officer. Nobody was indicted or even fired. The point is that Watergate shows what can happen when the mainstream media is the only source of information and the mainstream media has become a despicable propaganda arm of liberalism.

When you take a critical look back at the media at that time you find (no surprise) that all information available to Americans was filtered through a liberal agenda. Cronkite was a liberal hack but he was voted (by fellow media types) as "the most trusted etc".
