There's a decent chance that there will be a drain of businesses to some degree, and I've definitely seen some anecdotal evidence that points to that. The larger firms may decide to see if he's re-elected, and/or if this is the long term direction of the city. If it is, yeah, we'd see movement to states that are more tax/regulation-light.

Maybe Mamdani has a plan to somehow replace the lost tax base, but I sure as hell don't know what that would be.

Elections have consequences. We're reminded of that pretty much every day now.
