I'd say there was definitely plenty of opportunism on the part of the left, and they manipulated of stats to make things seem a bit different than they were, but it was hardly a planned global Holocaust type of thing.

No one was really safe from the virus. My wife had several family members die from it. It was basically a sibling to the flu which was deadly in its initial introduction, especially to those with pre-existing health issues, but quickly people gained immunity on their own and little can be attributed to the vaccine. I know a few people who never got it and a few of those never got the vaccine to this day. I got the vaccine only because I had to in order to travel abroad. Literally one month after my second vaccine shot I got covid. It was basically like the worst flu I've ever had in my life.

In the end one of the main effects of covid was as a tool by the Deep state to divide people once again into two opposing camps at each other's throats. Both sides need to wisen up, lose their paranoid dogmas and stop this shit.
