I would have to go with the latter here. The parents should have talked to their children about kitchen safety and not to use the microwave unsupervised.

I can tell you with confidence that mother's were God's original EMT's long before they existed RR

Yes but not all of them actually like it though.

anecdotally, before i was out of my teens i had over 3 dz stiches from the neck up

it was always the neighborhood moms that patched me up, and rode me to the er

My only questions are what is the purpose of the toy and what were the girls expecting when the microwave was done working its magic?

God bless you and them always!!!

P.S. I once heard it said that scars build character. I guess that girl with the burned face is most definitely a character now.

IDK, maybe they're bad parents maybe not. I don't think you can make that determination based on this story alone. Sounds like normal dumb-stuff kids do to me.

I mean, telling a kid not to use the microwave by themselves is no guarantee they're not gonna do it anyway someday. Kids will be kids.

If the girl grabbed that toy with her bare hand, I wonder if her hand looks as bad as her face does now.

God bless you and the girl always!!!
