Was Patton right all along?

You mean like ENRON in Afghanistan?
Yes but it’s commonly done by presidents of both parties. Bubba, O, and Joe are just as guilty as W and Dumb Don. Don’t you agree?

You can't admit the U.S. actually headed off a coup, can you? The U.S. always has to be the bad guy in all narratives. It's a prerequisite for a whole agenda of lies and half-truths. One tactic is to entirely avoid bringing up the fact that the Soviets invaded Iran and held half the country; most people would never know this fact if they went by the left wing anti-Western narratives.

Another is the fact that the Soviets were never going to allow free elections anywhere in their empire. But of course never a peep about that, just how evul America is n stuff.
You have some confused history. Even the C.I.A. admits it participated in the coup, along with the British, in 1953. It is not even a hidden secret.

It’s impossible to reach some Americans. They desperately want to believe the fairytales they were told in government school.

it was 90 years ago, FDR was wrong. All US patriots have always hated dirty commies & Muscovites

So was Patton. This is the history forum fool, not the anti-Putin league.

What do the Rosenbergs have to do with Patton's alleged crazy plan to nuke our Russian ally? An interesting point is that president Truman finally fired his aging general, MacArthur, who mismanaged the Korean conflict when his crazy rants about nuking China went public.

Interesting that both generals are considered great by many Americans, yet they wanted to use nukes on Russia and China.

the Rosenbergs- COMMIE scum, traitors
Patton- our hero, who was 120 % right about people like Rosenbergs and their fav. Bolshevik empire
Putin was a year old when the Rosenbergs were executed. The connection doesn't make sense.

It's easy to start wars . Not so easy to get out .

of topic 🇷🇺 BS, DO YOU AGREE WITH OUR great General , yes or 🇷🇺no ? "We can no more understand a 🇷🇺Muscovite than a Chinaman or a Japanese, and from what I have seen of them, I have no particular desire to understand 🇷🇺them, except to ascertain how much lead or iron it takes to kill 🇷🇺them."

O and Joe started many wars. Don is the only potus in the last many decades not start a new war, though he certainly tried when he killed the Iranian general and coup in Venezuela.

Gen. George S. Patton suggested that after Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed by nuclear gravity bombs, we, meaning the US, subject the Soviet cities of Moscow and Stalingrad to the same treatment...

After the defeat of Nazi Germany, Patton wanted America to invade the Soviet Union because he thought Russians were Asiatics who should be conquered but he had never thought about the use of nuclear weapons against them. Patton died in 1945 just a few months after Hiroshima and Nagasaki and America did not have spare atomic bombs to be dropped on Moscow at the time. It was not until 1948 when two Little Boy bombs were available for such a war plan.

The American mobilization plan, JCS 1725/1, submitted on 13 February 1947, was based on the assumption that nuclear weapons would not be used. It called for an Army of 13 divisions at the outbreak of hostilities, which would be increased to 45 divisions in a year, and 80 divisions in two years. This was similar to what had been achieved in World War II.

In July the JWPC submitted a plan based on the use of nuclear weapons. On the assumption that between 100 and 200 nuclear weapons would be available, it called for 34 atomic bombs to be dropped on 24 Soviet cities; seven would be dropped on Moscow, three on Leningrad and two each on Kharkov and Stalingrad.

The assumption that a hundred atomic bombs were available was not correct. The number of bombs in the stockpile was a closely-guarded secret in 1947. President Harry S. Truman was shocked when he was informed how small the stockpile really was.[32] By June 1948, components for about fifty Fat Man and two Little Boy bombs were on hand.[31]

1. This would've likely stopped or at least stemmed the worldwide spread of Communism
2. Averted a 45 year Cold War between the US and the USSR
3. Stopped Stalin's continued human rights violations
4. Ensured US worldwide Supremacy
Had this happened, I don't think we would've had the Communist/Socialist cancer on the US like we do now.
In principal I understand where you are coming from. That being said using nukes was not the way. We could have beaten the Russians to Germany if Ike had listened to Patton. First target should have been the Ruhr industrial valley, destroy Germany's j ability to make war. And we could have gotten to Berlin before the end of 1944. Would not have to storm the city and suffer heavy causalities, but surround and lay siege.

JWPC? Joint war plans commission? The crazies were in charge with their WMD/s during a democrat administration. No wonder Truman's hand picked general threatened China with nuclear weapons after his Korean War disaster.. Maybe IKE saved the world from nuclear disaster. Thank God saner heads prevailed.

As a net result, Communism was allowed to expand beyond the Soviet Union into the Eastern Bloc and even as far West as countries in Central and South America. Leftists here in the US always wanted the same type of Soviet style Communism here.

Hard charging generals like Patton are hard to find but their courage and combat experience doesn't translate well to foreign policy.
