Forgiving student loans is heartless to people who paid their loans. Essentially you're asking them to foot the bill for other people loans too. Forgiving the debt would increase the price of education.

Exactly why I am pushing my kids to leave America behind and move to Europe for college...MUCH MUCH cheaper and in many cases free. Along with Universal education comes universal healthcare and paid maternity leave and an overall happier population! Hope at least a few of my kids do so. We have no money for college so they would be on their own...government can shit in one hand and wish in the other when it comes to my wife and I repaying bullshit loans to simply get educated to survive in this WONDERFUL country they have made almost unlivable without a college degree.

Quite the opposite. Again, you need to study Demographics. Those earning the least amount of money are overwhelmingly Democrats. Many of them won't be paying for Warren's plans or they have net gain from them. Those who earn more money on average, Republicans, will have a net loss from Warren's plans. Banks who made bad loans to people who are unlikely to repay them should have to eat those loans. I doubt if there is a liberal arts degree anywhere that is worth $150,000 of debt. There are at least double the number of kids going to college as there should be. The cost of college is at least 3 times what it should be. Many kids are going to school and going into debt because they want 4 years of the "experience". Now they are being told that the US taxpayers will pay for their 4 years of fun.

Colleges are now doing what high schools should be doing with regards to general education.

The vast majority of college kids in the US wouldn't even make it into college in country's that have "free" college. I am not sure you liberals are ready for that. I think our snowflakes want to go to college for "free" so they can major in something easy, but useless to society.

There are so many colleges that C students have no problem finding one that will accept them. If government is footing the bill, colleges will be even more apt to accept more students because they are guaranteed to get paid. When people don't have skin in the game, they tend not to care. Students who are going for "free" or don't have their parent's threatening to pull funding will not work as hard.
