Bush St. did away with Govt. college loans cause they weren't being payed back sticking the tax payer with the loans.

Actually, here's the thing. Back in the 1990's I was one of you wingnuts who screamed about Clinton's "immorality", but economically, I did pretty darned good under Clinton. I went from a crappy job out of the army in 1992 to a pretty good one in 2000. My income increased, I sold my property at a considerable profit.

By the end of Bush's term... I had a busted 401K, an underwater mortgage and had to suck up a 20% income reduction after my previous job screwed me after I got hurt.

Obama- Frankly, wasn't unemployed one day when Obama was president and saw a pretty substantial jump in my income. Not that I think Obama had a lot to do with it... the choices I made helped a lot.

Trump has fucked it all up again. I'm not hurting as bad as I was in 2008 this time because I knew that this guy was going to **** it up and spent the last four years getting ready for that - paying down my debts, building up a reserve of savings, etc. But man, even I didn't think he was going to **** it up this bad. I expected an economic downturn, I wasn't expecting the Zombie Apocalypse

When you say, "Successful folks", I see 'Assholes who screw people over to advance themselves". So yeah, I don't live in a mansion, but I can say I've never screwed anyone over to advance myself and even went out of my way to help people.
