What i remember was the Yom kipur war when Israeli tanks were reduced to scrap by Soviet Sagger wire guided ATMs in the Sinai.

Israel was beaten badly in the first few days but fought back bravely and turned the tide before the war ended just weeks later. The good thing that resulted from the war was the peace pact between Israel and Egypt.
