War in Iran - News and More

What happened here? The laundry room had an issue after being near Iran? Trump is going to get our soldiers killed.

Crew problems?

Crew problems?
So mutiny, not an Iran attack? That is a theory as well. I think that is worse though.

Crew problems?
You 2 need to get a room

Ultra-concise facts:

March 12, 2026: Non-combat dryer-vent fire in aft laundry → 30+ hours damage control (smoke/water/foam), ~600 sailors displaced (sleeping on floors/tables), minor injuries.

Official Navy/CENTCOM: No propulsion/structural damage; ship stayed fully operational, flight ops continued.

Current status (Mar 23): Pierside Souda Bay, Crete for >1 week initial repairs/habitability fixes.

12–14 month sidelining? Speculative (e.g., 19FortyFive analysis) — not official; stems from extreme 9-month deployment fatigue + pre-existing Ford-class issues (plumbing, deferred maint backlog) compounded by fire cleanup/corrosion checks.

No hidden strike evidence: Zero enemy claims, satellite proof, or leaks; concealing major damage on a 4,000-crew ship amid global monitoring is implausible.

Bottom line: Not "just a laundry fire"—it's the tipping point after brutal ops tempo on a complex new-class carrier. No cover-up needed.

Seems suspicious.. We sent a multi-billion dollar war machine to the front with leaky toilets and faulty laundry room wiring and then withdrew it from theater after two weeks? At $8M per day to move the thing this is incompetence or we were attacked and embarrassed. Either way is pretty bad, right?

Your tax dollars at work. Going to try to pin it on Trump?

"Every day that the entire crew is present on the ship, a trouble call has been made for ship's force personnel to repair or unclog a portion of the VCHT system, since June 2023," reads an undated document provided by the Navy, through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

The carrier has called for help outside the ship 42 times since 2023. The rate of calls is increasing, with 32 calls happening in 2025;12 calls were made after the carrier started its recent deployment in June.

I think the guy who deployed them should know what state it is in. I think it was fine but got attacked... but if not, which is possible, I think it is worse that we sent a leaky bucket full of troops to protect other troops in it. That is ALL on this administration. Right?
