We are not supposed to put popularity or Political agenda before the Constitution when it comes to govt.

If we do that, how are we not complicit in enticing, entrapping or REWARDING
politicians for compromising the Constitution in order to appease public and political demands?

These demands should be met IN KEEPING with constitutional laws, standards and ethics,
not in violation of them.
