Walmart Says It's Raising Prices Because of Trump's Tariffs

And the 30% for Chinese imports is on top of the 19.3%. So lets do the math. There are exceptions, but generally speaking we are tariffing Chinese imports coming into the US at 49.3% and US exports going to China at 31.1%. Previously there was a 1.9% difference(21.2 and 19.3) with China tariffing the US more than we were tariffing them. Now there is an 18.2% difference with the US tariffing China more than they are tariffing us. Sure seems to be moving in the right direction to me.
So I was correct. This is what I said: Currently, China’s tariffs are higher on our products and our tariffs are higher on their products.

You said I didn't know what's going on.

Turns out I knew exactly what's going on.

Why do you think higher tariffs on both sides makes us better off?

Walmart, the largest retailer in the nation, has announced it is raising prices because of President Donald Trump's tariffs.

The retail giant said on Thursday that it may absorb some of the import taxes, but it is still raising prices to offset increased costs resulting from Trump's ill-advised trade war.

That's excellent

Walmart Says It's Raising Prices Because of democRATs minimum wage hike.

The federal minimum wage in the United States has been $7.25 per hour since July 2009, the last time Congress raised it.

This is the only post I’ve read on the thread...at which point did they blame DEI or Biden?

TLDR - but reading what you are saying is hilarious, because all of you only seem upset about it if Trump is president.
We had 40 year inflation with Biden, and when any of us talked about it - you all denied it, or just didn't care.
But now you do.
Inflation was the enevitable cause of too much money chasing too few products. Tariffs are a self inflicted tax shit brains.

There is no happy ending for idiot Trump or the country with these tariffs.

Even after he suspended the 145% tariff on China, the average tariffs on all countries is still 18%. This is the highest tariff rate, by far, since the 1930s and the Great Depression.

No businesses are going to invest in this country with Trump doing this crazy shit.

The only good ending of a trade war is to negotiate the end to all tariffs.
