The election clause in the constitution squarely makes states responsible for elections in their state: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State Legislature. When Democrats tried to impose federal mandate on elections, republicans fought and won using the Election Clause.

That's exactly the point. Only a woke Democrat could object to laws/rules/policies in place limiting voting rights to U.S. citizens. That they object to that is clear evidence that they want America as we know it completely destroyed so they can make it into whatever image they want it to be.
