The global rush to get out the vaccine was an understandable reaction, but the more I learn the more it seems it was a premature reaction; thus, likely to extend the duration of the of pandemic. If the report is accurate, millions of people getting one of the currently offered vaccines in the states (Moderna, Pffizer, J&J) will assume they are safe but have no protection from at least two of the variants. If that information is correct (time will tell) those walking around vaccinated and assuming they are protected but are not from the newer variants. Think "asymptomatic carriers".

Now, I want to add that SARS CoV-2 has been blown out of proportion imo. I do not post to change anyone's mind about getting vaccinated. I am only interested in the truth. I have known 2 people who died from other causes but marked as COVID-19 deaths. I have known of several people who tested positive (15-18 or so of various ages) and all recovered. I know there have been many who have died from COVID-19 due to complications or existing health problems. The outcome, however, is not comparable to say, yellow fever (50% die without vaccine), MERS originated in 2012 with 34.4% mortality rate, EBOLA a 50% mortality rate, Avian Flu 60% mortality rate, etc.
