Commies

Remember when the idiot Islamocrat Gov of Mass threatened to redistrict in retaliation of Texas redistricting?

There is already no red district in the state :auiqs.jpg: ..........or all of NE for that matter, despite about 46% voting Republican..

Exactly. We are just getting our REVENGE on the Democrat scum! Let them cry harder.

Who is unable to vote that should be able to? And how are they being prevented from doing so?
I never claimed this ruling literally prevents Black people from casting ballots.

My point is that the 14th and 15th Amendments were enacted specifically because Southern states systematically denied Black citizens equal political participation after the Civil War.

Even after the 15th Amendment technically guaranteed voting rights, states used mechanisms like poll taxes, literacy tests, intimidation, and racial gerrymandering to dilute or effectively neutralize Black political power while maintaining the formal appearance of legality.

That history is precisely why the Voting Rights Act was passed.

The Court’s newer doctrine allows states to achieve similar representational dilution indirectly through partisan justifications, especially in places where race and party strongly overlap.

Not just that but the ruling goes against precedent AND their own professed judicial philosophy. Namely that the Constitution should be interpreted through the lense of the people who framed it.

So while people can still technically vote, the question becomes whether minority communities can meaningfully translate those votes into political influence.

So screaming racism without real evidence of racism is wrong? You don't say!

Hmm, you're a smart one! Lol

Besides, what does any of that have to do with the Virgina Supreme Court's ruling that is the topic of this thread? You still haven't answered.
If you select voters based on race, with as stated goal trying to diminish their impact on election results it really doesn't matter if it was done out of partisanship or racism. The end result is that they as a race are underrepresented. Precisely what the 15th amendment aimed to adress.

"The end result is that they as a race are underrepresented"

So Virginia was trying to diminish the votes of white voters when they tried this redistricting stunt and violated the 15th amendment in addition to violating their own state constitution?

LOL

Lefties self owned so badly on this one.

Hakeem Jeffries is SUCH A TOOL.

HE SAID “FAFO”.

😂

It's funhy how much you guys are willing to pretend that effect is actually cause. This mid-cycle redistrictering was started by Trump in Texas.

In fact, Democrats introduced non-partisan redistricting in the house under the Biden administration. They couldn't get it passed because of UNANIMOUS Republican opposition.

If you want to use Gerrymandering because you can't win elections without it, at least have the decency to not portray it as anything but what it is. Raw party politics.

This whole victim routine is tiresome and doesn't fool anybody.

Your game.

Your rules.

You hate it NOW???

Awwwww

If COMMIES DID NOT PFUCK WITH VIRGINIA, THE RED STATES WOULD NOT HAVE COUNTERED.

Talk about overplaying your hand.

NOW THEY GET NO CHANGE IN VIRGINIA, BUT ALL THE RED STATES CHANGES.

D’OH!

COMMIES ARE SUCH MORONS.

Classic SELF OWN. 😂
