Virginia Going Full Mao - Force Schools to Teach J6 Was an Insurrection with no Reference to 'Peaceful Protest'

Down the hallway.

They had no ability to do anything of the sort.
He ran down the hallway out of the Capitol to an adjacent building. It was too dangerous to remain in the government's seat of power and they had to end their government functions on account of the violence from Trump supporters who intended to and did stop them from engaging in those essential government functions.

So clearly they did have the ability.

ADJACENT BUILDING LOL

The government's seat of power is the White House. The Executive is what most consider "the government"

The Legislature's seat is the Capitol.

One vote got delayed a few hours. No essential government functions were even slightly delayed.

Shows how much of a fascist you are that you consider the White House to be the government's seat of power.

The framers saw the Congress as the seat of government which is why they're established first in the Constitution, in Article I.

Since according to you Trump was "the government" and his mob took over the Capitol to maintain his power in "the government", you're only making it sound more like an insurrection.

I'd say that certifying the election and establishing the next president is a pretty essential government function. That is what the Trump supporters stopped, which oddly enough is exactly what Trump wanted to stop too. I guess it's a coincidence.

Why do you continue to pretend 2020 was above board?

In the end it fucked you over even more in 2024.

LOL
Because it was above board. Trump lost.
He won in 2024 for a lot of the same reasons he won in 2016. An unpopular opposition candidate, a large swath of the voting population staying home, and a (sort of) last minute incident that moved the needle. In 2016, it was a phantom email investigation. In 2024, Biden stayed in too long and then dropped out, not giving the Dems enough time to realize Harris wasn't going to cut the mustard.

That's OK. Trump is in the middle of a hell of his own making. And his day is coming. :)
Meantime, he can suffer. He deserves every bit of it.

When you talk about "the government" in a parliamentary system, you talk about the executive cabinet. The Parliament is the legislature.

In our system the executive is the government, and is separate from the legislature.

They saw Congress as the seat of legislation, with the "government" being the executive.

It was delayed a few hours, nothing more.

I still have my doubts.

He won because people saw through your bullshit, and your lawfare, and the idiocy of the left.

LOL, still mad he proved you didn't need new legislation to handle the Immigration problem like Dems claim they did?

Didn't get your amnesty, too bad, so sad.

You seek to create a modern king by establishing Trump as "the government". Although it's merely rhetorical, it demonstrates your descent into authoritarianism. The legislature is becoming more and more vestigial. Which is exactly why Trump sought to control the election in 2020 and force his will upon them.

Delayed for a few hours, few days, few months, few years. It makes no difference. It was the entire point of January 6th. To stop the government from functioning and overthrow it for Trump.

Trump as the only elected member of the executive is "the government". It's how our system is setup.

All executive power flows from the President. All the Legislature can do is pass laws.

It makes all the difference, including the fact that the people on J6 couldn't have taken over anything at all.

All he did was create a Gestapo like army of masked thugs who conducted a reign of terror on communities across the country. Decimated the farming, hospitality, and construction industries before he realized he'd bleeped up (can't say the f word anymore. :().

Notice how you don't hear too much about "mass deportations" anymore, huh? :)

He won by the tiniest of margins. No mandate. So sorry.

Nope, not a Gestapo. ICE is doing its mandated job as per federal law.

Because the local ***** realized they can't win this fight. The whole purpose is for them to go on smoothly and cleanly.

LOL. Keep telling yourself that.

Congress was forced to flee the Capitol until thousands of police and military were able to take control of the government's seat of power.

The government had to cease operations due to the overwhelming violence from the Trump supporters.
What military are you talking about? The National Guard troops did not arrive until the next afternoon, dumbass! Why do you lie when it is so easy to prove you are doing so?

Outside of Trump/Limbaughlooneyland,no one views social media as a news source. But the right wing narrative is ever present. it lives in safe houses like X, where facts don’t matter, but the Trump narrative rules.

Of course, your claim is false.

Right wing efforts to foment the mass demonstration thst Trump operatives turned into a riot were ongoing and visible to anyone in December and January of 2021.

And the whole world watched it live, as it happened.
Really? Then enlighten us why the Biden administration colluded with social media?

Lol .. you good at bullshitting that you could give Occasional Cortex a run for her money. ***** said she was threatened. After investigation, she was nowhere near the protesters.

All rhetoric and semantics, but reveals your authoritarian nature.

All the president can do is execute the laws. The laws are what matter. We are a nation of laws. Not men. Forget that? Of course you did, authoritarian.

The violent ultra-MAGAs took over the Capitol. That happened.

We had to call in thousands of soldiers to take it back.

But it's not an insurrection, lol.

15th post
"Forces loyal to the president have violently seized the Capitol today" would be considered an insurrection in any other country.

All reality, something your side continues to ignore.

Executing laws is what the government does. I guess you never heard of the parliamentary term "Form a government"

At that point the legislature exists.

Not an insurrection.

They didn't seize it, they rioted in it for a few hours, and then left.

J6 reminded me of a frat party.
