Veterans group to Trump: Keep your donations

Washington (CNN)At least one veteran's group doesn't want any donations from Donald Trump's fundraiser for veterans.

Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America founder Paul Rieckhoff tweeted Wednesday that he would decline any contributions that came from the event, which Trump has proposed in place of his attending Fox News' debate this week

"If offered, @IAVA will decline donations from Trump's event. We need strong policies from candidates, not to be used for political stunts," he said.

Two other veterans' groups also distanced themselves from Trump's announcement.

The Wounded Warrior Project said it was not aware of the candidate conducting any fundraising efforts on its behalf.

Meanwhile, VoteVets.org, which calls itself the nation's largest progressive veterans group, issued a statement titled: "Don't hide from Megyn Kelly behind us."

What you fail to realize is that this little group of nearly unheard of people were never offered any of the money from Trump's benefit in the first place. Paul Rieckhoff is simply seeking publicity. Donald Trump has long been a donor to Wounded Warriors and a couple of other veteran's groups.

Really, from everything I read, he has not:

Over a five-year span, from 2009 to 2013, the foundation gave just $57,000 to veterans groups, according to an estimate Forbes made last December. A significant portion of that comes from a single $25,000 donation in 2011, to the Fisher House, which helps provide homes to veterans and their families.

That's only because you don't wish to find it. Even in New York Trump has helped out the cause of the veterans.

Trump personally donated $1 million to the fund that raised $6 million so far. I can hardly wait for the Clinton's to donate money to any veterans group.LOL
Paul Rieckhoff stated later on CNN that he got a lot of hate tweets for his obvious political stand and I suggest he just shot himself in the foot. And that only hurts the vets he says he supports.

I did yesterday on another thread. I really am not interested in doing it yet again for some other Liberal who can't do her own research. It gets tiring.

Trump just put this dumb liberal bullshit to bed in a big way. 5.6 million distributed to Veterans groups. After all the liberal scumbags complaining about the man, he had to prove his good works because the media won't even give the guy a nod even when he does do something great

How much has Hillary given to Veterans groups?

Until she hit 5.6 million, you libs can shut the fuck up.
