ā€˜The unprovoked American invasion of Venezuela, the apparent decapitation of its government and the abduction or kidnapping (or ā€œarrest,ā€ if we must) of Maduro and his wife are signs of both the Trump regime’s strength and its fatal weakness. That isn’t a contradiction, exactly. It’s more like an existential dilemma, both for our bewildered and benighted country and for the world.

On one hand, Donald Trump is tangibly losing popular support, physical strength and cognitive capacity. His administration and his political movement are almost literally bleeding out, plagued by infighting and faced with likely defeat in the upcoming midterm elections. This reckless violation of international law — specifically, if anyone actually cares, a violation of Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter, which states the basic principle that nation-states must respect each other’s sovereignty — is an act of political desperation, like a drunken gambler going all-in on a bad hand at 3 a.m.’

And of course Trump will get away with this crime as with all the others.

Trump violates international law and domestic law with impunity, the consequence of the culpability of the authoritarian right, the failed American Experiment, and the stupidity, ignorance, and apathy of the American people.

So why did Biden put a $25 million bounty on Maduro?

This is socialist garbage. The arrest and freeing of Venezuela is the beginning of the end of communism in Central and South America. Venezuela is the home for Russia China Iran and Cuba who will now be removed or driven out. They are a major threat to the region and now Trump has ended that. The communist dominoes are falling. Cuba collapses next as their oil supply is cut off.

Maduro has a warrant on him from 2020...He was scooped up and hauled away.

There was no military invasion.

You're overflowing with bullshit, as usual.

:fu:

Supposedly the leader of Columbia is getting self-righteous daring Trump to go after him.
Gustavo Petro is a former terrorist and a radical leftist.

Treasury Sanctions Colombian President Gustavo Petro and His Support Network
24 Oct 2025 — Gustavo Petro is a former guerilla member who was elected to the Colombian presidency in 2022. He has provided narco-terrorist organizations with benefits under the auspices of his ā€œtotal peaceā€ plan, among other policies, which have led to record highs of coca cultivation and cocaine production.
