Venezuela: Trump's Latest Crime Scene

‘The unprovoked American invasion of Venezuela, the apparent decapitation of its government and the abduction or kidnapping (or “arrest,” if we must) of Maduro and his wife are signs of both the Trump regime’s strength and its fatal weakness. That isn’t a contradiction, exactly. It’s more like an existential dilemma, both for our bewildered and benighted country and for the world.

On one hand, Donald Trump is tangibly losing popular support, physical strength and cognitive capacity. His administration and his political movement are almost literally bleeding out, plagued by infighting and faced with likely defeat in the upcoming midterm elections. This reckless violation of international law — specifically, if anyone actually cares, a violation of Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter, which states the basic principle that nation-states must respect each other’s sovereignty — is an act of political desperation, like a drunken gambler going all-in on a bad hand at 3 a.m.’

And of course Trump will get away with this crime as with all the others.

Trump violates international law and domestic law with impunity, the consequence of the culpability of the authoritarian right, the failed American Experiment, and the stupidity, ignorance, and apathy of the American people.

Trump violates international law
If you cant enforce that law, then it isnt really a law. Its more like a recommendation at that point. When is the last time the international courts actually achieved justice against any of the world leaders that they say committed crimes? Everyone just tells them to "suck my dick" and the international court does ****-all about it. :dunno:

/----/ What do global warming, assault rifles, and international law have in common?

They don't exist.

Venezuelan opposition leader Machado, who recently presented Trump with her peace prize, announced plans to fight against Cuba and Nicaragua with US support:

I can't keep up with their flag and agenda swapping. Faster than Usain Bolt.

Just know that the left will align themselves with ANYONE who opposes America, and specifically the Trump agenda.

No matter how evil they are. Hence, we have the left supporting the Ayatollah in Iran, Maduro in Venezuela, Xi in China, Putin in Russia, etc.

I don't know how evil things are in Iran and Venezuela, as I have no personal experience there. However, I do have experience with Russia, and therefore I am forced to call your entire list bullshit, as I strongly suspect that you have no personal experience with any of the countries you listed.

I don't think the chinese or the russians are going to like this... The western europeans may peep..lol

As the U.S. military continues its campaign targeting alleged drug cartel boats, Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is convening a rare meeting of all of the top military leaders from the 34 countries in the Western Hemisphere.

This will be the first time that such a meeting has been convened and appears to be focused on improving cooperation against drug trafficking and criminal organizations.

The meeting is set for Feb. 11, according to a statement from the Joint Chiefs of Staff provided to ABC News

This outcome is not coincidental. Hell noes

The convergence of regional military leaders suggests the coordination of a significant imperial undertaking.......
indeed.. el presidente He was going on the other day about blowing up cuba

And you're probably really disappointed in all the latinos. As a proud white woman you should go lecture them about the joys of democratic socialism and the threat of the white male patriarchy, led by hitler.

In Argentina, dormant high school group chats roared to life with news of Nicolás Maduro’s capture. Colombians debated exit plans if they were next on Washington’s list, Ecuadorean schoolteachers paused lessons to discuss the U.S. raid, and a Peruvian beauty queen even weighed in.

Yet this regional frenzy did not translate into a significant wave of organized protests across a continent that has long harbored resentment over the United States’ Cold War-era meddling in Latin America.

While some Latin Americans denounced what they decried as American imperialism in Venezuela, a more supportive response to President Trump’s action prevailed, with several polls showing that a majority of Latin Americans endorsed the intervention

Oh noes not the times

The imperial noose around Cuba is tightening. Unfortunately, and to its endless shame, Cuba cannot count on real support from ANY Latin American government today, despite two hundred years of lies about the sovereignty of their countries. Fear of the yellow-haired psychopath turns out to be stronger than all basic decency and simple human dignity.

The Cuban government has announced that there are no aviation fuel reserves at the island's airports, and classes, plans, events, exhibitions, and everything that requires transportation, electricity, and energy are being canceled...

It is not true that the US Navy has imposed a complete naval blockade on the island. Cuba is blocked by the fear of others of being sanctioned. This is how capitalism works.

Cuba is not at war with anyone, the overwhelming majority of countries in the world have condemned the US blockade of the island for many years, and it has full diplomatic relations with all its neighbors. In recent decades, Cuban doctors have selflessly and free of charge saved hundreds of thousands of lives in Africa and Latin America.
Recently, Cuba donated its own COVID vaccines to its neighbors in the region who needed them most. Cuban volunteers shed blood for African independence, and its teachers helped millions of people in Venezuela, Bolivia, and four dozen other countries overcome illiteracy.

Now, before the eyes of the world, Cuba is being demonstratively strangled. Cuba is not just a symbol — it is a planet incompatible with the cesspool into which the world is being turned today.
