2 weeks is a long time to start to carry this out. from what i understand, he had the room 4 days already and was known to live in vegas hotels anyway so nothing abnormal to raise an alarm.

not sure where he kept the guns but mine are in my attic or a safe bolted to my floor.

would be hard to think that someone you've known for years and never had a problem with was snapping right before your eyes. when my father passed away we talked a lot to his banker getting finances squared away and from what she described, it was likely dementia was setting in. we never saw it. or if we did we moved it elsewhere because we just didn't connect it or want to connect it. but after hearing the banker talk, we thought of incidents that happened that could have been signs.

thankfully he didn't have to go through that - far too proud. but it does help me understand how you may not see things like that right off in people you know that well.

And if if were pre-planned, they probably already had the replacement window and the equipment to replace it before anyone discovers it. It did not make any sense for the shooter to have all sorts of different types of guns in the room with him. . They need to do an autopsy on the victims, to see that they were shot by the weapons that the shooter had used. And plus the window could of had been replaced by a temporary piece of reflecting plastic, to make it look as if it were the original window. But then later on, keep people from coming close to the building by closing off certain areas that will prevent anyone from seeing them replacing the window.

FYI

-the guest(s) in the hotel room below the shooter, are the ones who called hotel security... notifying security that the guest room directly above them, was shooting out his window.

There is a recording of the guest's call to security, heard it on the news....

The old couple must of had called when the crime scene investigation was finished, and the maids had came in and cleaned up the mess.

My neighbor shot his son and then himself 5 1/2 years ago because his wife left him. I was out watering the night before and heard him talking.He sounded calm and not upset..

he may have put them there after she left. if he had around 10 days to prep after sending her off, no telling what she actually knew. she has to be in shock right now and i can't even imagine.
