Veganism and health.

You really should listen to Derrick Broze on this topic. He's been vegan for about 15 years, but he is against the "faux" veganism that you seem to be talking about. (I didn't read those links yet)

I can't find them at the moment, but he has shared links on this, so I'll look for those and post them when I find it. In the meantime, here's something if you're interested:

Vegans Against Agenda 2030/ Vegans for Freedom

He needs to imply that vegans are the ones with the drone mindset.

My evolution to this point is not the same as most vegans but I am in agreement with PETA at least 90% on this issue.

This life ends sooner than you can imagine -- for ALL of us. Then we enter ETERNITY.

I made a choice in 1978. That choice took me down paths I didn't know I would go, but I will not leave the path God has set me on

And ^ that reminds me of a video I made called "We are the monsters"......

Unfortunately YouTube put an age restriction on it, but I'll share it anyway. But I'm pretty sure one has to be logged in to YouTube to see it:

These things are hard to watch if your soul is still intact.

You remember when I discovered JUST Egg. I thought they were great, if not a little expensive.

Then the egg crisis came and eggs skyrocketed. I thought JUST Egg will get some of this market with egg prices going crazy. At one point they were $11 a dozen at one of the places I shop!

But JUST Egg raised their price to $9 for that little bottle. I think they missed a great opportunity to capture a portion of the market, but they blew it.

Anyway, I never made "tofu scramble" before until recently, and now that's my go to breakfast when I have a little time. It's surprisingly delicious!

I make it with sauteed onions and garlic, nutritional yeast, and tumeric. And every last ingredient is on the list of anti-cancer foods you should be eating daily.

I totally agree about JUST Egg. It's actually really good, I love their products... but they did miss a great opportunity to capture some of the market during that time.

I love tofu scramble too. It's all about how you make it. Ok, another shameless plug, but I made a video on that too, about 5 years ago.

(The hands in the video are not mine, that was my roommate. I was filming)

This thread needs some videos from Markus and Cara's channel.

That guy is one of the smartest people I've encountered, on the topic of health and well-being. Plus, he's just a really cool interesting person. You were the one who introduced me to his channel.

Here's one I should have posted in the milk thread
I hope they haven't disabled playback in all their videos

If it doesn't rain, the crops won't grow anyway. You can't blame it on the fertilizer. Such a non-sequitur makes all your other claims suspicious.

Never trust your Infloozies
Soils fertilized with manures hold moisture better than chemically fertilized soils so withstand droughty conditions much better while at the same time providing the nutrients needed by the plants. Soluble chemical fertilizers have no self-control mechanism as does humus.

^ It won't play here. But I did see that one recently, it's great to know how easy it is to make different types of plantbased milks.

This video is long so I highly doubt anyone will watch it, but it shows how smart he is and that he's had a very interesting life:

I think he's 63 now. I wish I started eating right long ago, although people still estimate me 15 years younger than I am. Hope that works out in lifespan.

The problems spelled on in the OP, also plague modern diets that include meat.

Great post. Describes veganism perfectly.

Vegans, like those who save money instead of spending it, prosper only within the broader traditional agriculture, as do savers within the normal consumer-based economy. And just as the economy would collapse under the lack of spending so too would agriculture if animals were stricken from it.

Veganism is fine for those few who choose it, but it shouldn't be advocated broadly as the results would be catastrophic.

Shoot, that one too doesn't play here. I'll watch it on YouTube.

Yeah, everyone always thinks I'm at least 15 years younger than I am.

Then again, I've always looked younger than my age, pretty much all my life. So in my case I think it's genetic. My grandfather died at 99 1/2, and he did NOT look his age. He still had a good head of hair and amazingly, not that much grey.

Great story.

However, most people already follow their own path, some upward, most downward.

That is so laughably false, that I almost feel it's not worthy of a response.

But here's something important to know. Within veganism there is a range of different diets that are not all the same. Technically, someone could eat a "diet" of nothing but Oreos, and that could be considered a "vegan diet" simply because there are no animal products.

But a whole food plant-based diet? It's one of the healthiest if not THE healthiest diet of all.....that has been known to not only prevent disease, but actually reverse disease.

On this YouTube channel you will find TONS of testimonies of people who beat cancer or other diseases by radically changing their diet, to a whole food plant-based diet.

Plus there are tons of studies going back many decades that say the same thing.

Agree completely! And, I've known of people who have reversed their diabetes! And their heart disease!
