But you don't dispute it. You get BIBLICAL ANSWERS but you and the other just throw out another "challenge" that's been addressed a thousand times before

I showed you early church writings that PROVE The APOSTLES DIDNT EAT MEAT. Can you JUST STICK WITH ONE POINT AND HASH IT OUT?

Did Jesus or the apostles' forbid others from eating meat?

Did Jesus or the apostles' forbid others from eating meat?
Peter: “Then Peter answered: ‘To do anything for pleasure, not for the sake of necessity, is to sin and therefore I earnestly entreat you to abstain from all animal food, in the hope that by this you may be able to retain your self-restraint, and not to be overpowered by the allurements of pleasure. For in the beginning, the eating of flesh was unknown until after the flood, when, against their will, men were compelled to use the flesh of animals, because all things that were planted had been destroyed by the waters

I have to eat cows because I don't swerve for deer 😂
I also eat deer, but I don't need to hit them with my car.

This is What buttercup said:
When discussing that passage, first century Jewish historian Josephus wrote: “But Abel brought milk.” In the phrase ‘the firstborn of the fat of his flock’ the word translated "fat" in Hebrew is ֵcheleb, which is identical to the Hebrew word for "milk" ָ(chalab), but with different vowels. Since vowels were not added to the Hebrew alphabet until hundreds of years after Josephus, it is very likely that the original word describing Abel’s gift was milk rather than fat.

What The Irish ram tells you she said:
If you believe that Abel can render fat from a live animal, and me telling you that that isn't possible, then you have to link to a video of someone rendering fat from a live animal to prove it.. You can't. It's just that you wish Abel didn't kill an animal just to sacrifice it to God. I get that. It doesn't change scripture though
Not quite, puppy. She "conveniently" left out the part I referred to:
Nowhere in that passage does it mention killing or that Abel offered a dead lamb to God
Good thing Abel didn't listen to butter. Offering a sacrifice of meat with the blood still in it is a big no no to God...

God had already set the rule; a blood sacrifice was necessary for the atonement of sin until the sacrifice of Jesus. However, eating meat was not connected to those sacrifices, with the exception of Passover.

Absolutely WRONG. The death of another creature DOES NOT pay for your sins. At BEST, you can say this was to keep Israel mindful of a COMING sacrifice. No animals death has ever paid the debt you owe God.

Note that I said atonement, not remission. Animal sacrifice was the substitutionary penalty for sin, although God didn't grant the world that option before the flood. They paid for their sins with their own lives.

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’

You used to understand this stuff.
Is Scripture THE source of Truth to you?
I guess I want you to state if you're still a follower of Christ or you just like to debate these topics. Do you honestly ASK GOD in PRAYER for understanding?

^ Exactly. That has been the exact pattern throughout this thread. No true debate. No actual honest discussion with goodwill.

They bring up an argument (In Woodnutz' case, arguments we've been over a guhzillion times in the past) I take the time to write out a detailed reply, addressing their points with arguments, supporting reasons and relevant scriptures.... and then instead of addressing what was said, those posts have been completely ignored. And exactly as you put it, instead of responding with a counter-argument (which is how debate is supposed to work) they just throw out a different "challenge" that has already been addressed a thousand times while completely ignoring everything that was said.

Never resolving any particular issue, but just jumping to other things while completely ignoring what was posted on the previous issue.

🎯 :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

THANK YOU, EXACTLY!!!!

That's why I called it "leap frogging."

And as I mentioned earlier on the thread, that style of "debate" (if you can call it that, it really isn't debate at all) is a pet peeve of mine. My atheist Dad used to debate with me that same way, always leap-frogging from one thing to the next while never addressing ANYTHING that was said or coming back with a valid logical counter-argument. Just throwing more stuff out, rapid-fire, while ignoring everything and never addressing anything. It's annoying and I think it shows that the person's mind / heart is completely closed off to anything but their pre-existing position.

Same here. I'm not going to waste any more time like I did the last few days TRYING to have an actual discussion with anyone who continually ignores everything and then pretends that I never addressed what they said, when I did at least 4 or 5 times. It's not cool, and it's a waste of time with anyone who operates that way.
