"The acting police chief on duty during the May 24 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, has been placed on leave following a report on “systemic failures and egregious poor decision making” from law enforcement on scene. Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin released a statement Sunday announcing Lt. Mariano Pargas’ administrative leave. The Texas House committee investigating the shooting released a report Sunday noting failures in law enforcement leadership, including from Pargas. The committee also determined that Arredondo, who was placed on leave last month, “failed to perform” his role as incident commander — and Pargas said the two were never in contact. “Given the information known about victims who survived through the time of the breach and who later died on the way to the hospital, it is plausible that some victims could have survived if they had not had to wait 73 additional minutes for rescue,” the committee wrote."
And if you add the fact that there were nearly 400 cops at the scene of the school and they all waited over an hour before doing something -- there is really no way to spin this or deflect blame on to something else...no amount of saying "BLM made us do it" or "CRT in schools are to blame" will spin this....
Uvalde report: 376 officers but ‘egregiously poor’ decisions
A report says nearly 400 law enforcement officials rushed to a mass shooting that left 21 people dead at a Uvalde elementary school.

Fact of the matter is that supposedly well-trained, well-funded, well-equipped officers, with military grade protective gear, ballistic shields, nearly 400 strong -- still felt it was too dangerous to confront one crazed gunman....for whatever reason, that is what happened....will arming teachers be the better option? Who knows..will deputizing well-trained students to be armed in class be a solution? I don't know....and when you add to that that Gov Abbott had not attended a single funeral -- and still to this day; has visited a single victim's family -- I repeat, still to this day -- but had no problem going to a fundraising event the day after the shooting -- that is also hard to spin.....
Uvalde parents say they have not heard from Gov. Abbott, other Texas Lawmakers
Family members say they are struggling to hear from many Texas Lawmakers including the Governor of Texas.
