Utah governor signs collective bargaining ban for teachers, firefighters and police unions

Pure Fascism, those politicians don't believe in Unions, i hope the Unions pick up the Gauntlet, Pinochet would be proud.
it should be banned in all government venues because we the people dont get seat at the table,,

we pay their wages,,

I don't know what state you live in.

I work in School System in VA:
  • Our average Teacher Salary is $67K, you ain't buying two homes on that.
Hence I said I wasn't talking about teachers in an Iowa corn field. Move to NJ, it's $120k

Please tell us again that you have a brain.

And do our Country what they did to your once-great Country?

No, thank you.

BTW, Utah has the 2nd best educational system in the Country and they spend the least.

Then they should get a job that is worth while.

What do you mean what they did to my once great Country?
If you're in the UK (like it says in your handle) -- Figure it out.

If you can't, then there's just no point

I know what you are talking about and it's all nonsense.
What your Unions did during the 50's through the 70's was very sad to see. Yes, there were other factors but a huge contributor was Unions. Iron Pants saved the UK. Believe it. Otherwise, it might very well be Airstrip One today.

I miss Triumph, MG, MGB, Austin Healy (loved the 3000) etc. Ford bought several brands and saved them. I think they lost money on them but at least they're still around. Can't say that for Rolls.

You might be too young. Ireland is doing fairly well on paper. Much of that wealth is Corporate trickeration (American football word) however

What makes you think Public sector workers are not tax payers?
They are tax-takers. They bribe politicians with campaign contributions to raise their salaries and benefits far above those in the private sectors. It's an incestuous relationship.

Most find the job of teaching very worth while.

Different people have different measurements of "worth".

Blues said that in NJ teachers make $100K plus, not around here. Not because the job is that much different, but because of variations in geographical cost of living.

Why? in other words the Employer can dish out anything he wants.
In the USA government employees have it far better than private enterprise employees. They are essentially fire-proof, have outstanding pensions that often start as early as fifty years of age, their salaries are far better than private employees. All of that comes from sweetheart deals with bribed politicians. The taxpayers are never represented at public employee bargaining tables, only the politicians and the employees who bribe them with campaign contributions.
